Lovely traditional 19th century character farmhouse, carefully restored, nestled in the countryside on the edge of meadows, in the hollow of a vast open clearing, on the edge of a large forest. In a peaceful residential hamlet located 4 km from the center of Cuiseaux, the "city of painters", birthplace of Édouard Vuillard & Pierre Puvis de Chavannes, world-famous artists, nestled in the wooded foothills of the Jura massif, in hollow of a sublime preserved landscaped setting of gentle mountains. Steeped in charm, with many amenities and quality sports and cultural infrastructure, this picturesque medieval shopping village steeped in history (former border town) has a rich heritage (orchard gate, ramparts, castle of the princes of Orange, church, chapel, bourgeois houses and mansions from the 16th century, old winegrowers' houses, etc.). Very comfortable gîte with atypical interior architecture. Ultra spacious. Vast living room. Warm contemporary country character mixing traditions & modernity in the spirit of a gentle "family house" with rich traces of the past (stone walls, bricks, fireplace mantel, beams, stone lintels... of origin). Very complete quality equipment. Ideal for touring around (A39 5 km away): 5 km from the famous Bresse racing circuit (car, motorbike and karting multi-activities over 48 ha), 28 km from Lons-le-Saunier, 35 km from Cuisery referenced among the very exclusive 8 French Book Villages, 41 km from Bourg-en-Bresse & 45 km from Tournus (world-renowned abbey site). Tres bon gite. Dommage qu’il soit logis de france

En utilisant comme d habitude Abritel je ne m attendais pas a devoir refaire toute la procédure de réservation par des moyens archaïques et non sécurisés( impression de contrat signature et renvoi; options complexes de règlement, répétition de données déjà fournies à abritel …..). C’est là que j’ai compris que le gîte était en fait géré à l’ancienne par « logis de france » ….qui ne semble pas adhérer au mouvement de digitalisation des échanges. Sinon le gîte est très bien.
