The staff are consistently wonderful—friendly, helpful, and always willing to go above and beyond. The local employees truly deserve recognition.
Unfortunately, there are a couple of recurring issues. The luggage cart has had flat tires during my last three stays over the past six months and has not been repaired.
Additionally, the breakfast bar has declined significantly. The baked items are often dry and have day/date stickers on them. If I could include a photo from my last visit, I would. I took an individually wrapped slice of raisin bread that was so hard to the front desk and placed by the keyboard on the desk, no one was there because the front desk staff have to multitask.
I understand the staff are simply following company policies and procedures, and this is not a reflection of their effort. However, the end result is disappointing.
I would still stay at this hotel, but I would not recommend the breakfast bar. If you’re specifically searching for a hotel because breakfast is included, this would not be my choice. I’ve heard several other guests express similar concerns, though many feel uncomfortable saying anything because the staff work so hard and are limited by policy.
I’ve stayed at the Cullman, AL Cobblestone Hotel & Suites since it opened, with over 12 reservations totaling roughly 30 nights, and I sincerely hope these issues can be improved.
