From experience of similar hotels this was more expensive and room extremely basic, with no TV, no shampoo, no hairdryer, no AC, and room outdated. The owners are helpful and friendly. The outside is very nice except the way up to the parking area is not only steep but dirt road. Be prepared to pay in cash as they claim that credit card machine does not work due to internet issues. Breakfast is continental
This is a unique property a few minutes down the road from the park entrance. Eric runs the place and is very helpful. We stayed in the main building, but there are contain rooms, as seen in the picture, scattered throughout the property. We only stayed for one night, and really enjoyed our dinner with the other guests. Travelers from many countries came together for a nice meal and good conversation. It helped that most spoke English.
The park was great. We did the 3k loop of volcanic activity like geysers, bubbling mud pits, and volcanic rock, and the 10k in and out to the waterfall in one day. Get there early because the trails close by mid-day.

Very quaint. Not for those who expect to be away from bugs or expect a/c.
This is an experience closer to nature than most hotels, but it has fun cultural charm. The room was clean & the bed was comfortable. We thought it might feel cramped because it is a double bed, but it seemed as roomy as our queen bed at home. The rooms are open to the sounds of nature, which can be a pro or a con. Eric is very knowledgeable about the area and friendly. We stayed just one night and were very glad we got to experience this unique place!
The owner is nice and helpful. The bungalows are fun but ist gets very hot inside. You can choose between two breakfast combinations which are kind of small. If you like a bit more to eat you need to order and pay extra. I did not like the "natural pool" since the water isn't cleaned or exchanged. Our stay there was OK but you can only pay cash and the next ATM is 30 min. away. I also disliked paying extra for everything since the price per night isn't cheap at all. With some changes it would be an even nicer experience since the area and the idea with the bungalows are nice.
The breakfast and dinner are served communally with all the guests. The food was amazingly good prepared by the local ladies. It was so interesting to share meals and experiences with people from other countries. Eric, nickname Tito, was an amazing hosts!!
