Cusco is a city where, as a tourist, you often need to be places on time. Kimsa hotel caused us problems with this twice in a one-night stay. On our first day, check-in was at 11:00. When we arrived at 11:20, the room was not ready. After telling us that it would be ready in five minutes, the employee at the front desk told us at 11:25 that it might be ready in fifteen minutes. On our second morning, we had to be at a tour at 8:00. At 7:20, there was no hot water. We asked the employee at the front desk, "When will there be hot water?" "Soon!" We asked if she could please call the other employee who could fix the hot water. "I don't need to call him, because he'll be here soon." At 8:45—having missed our tour—there was still no hot water. Although the common spaces were pleasant, the shower ceiling was covered in black mold. We booked this hotel on a half-off deal, and it was still a bad bargain; we moved out after the first night. Do not stay here.

I had stayed in several hotels in the area and actaully checked out 2 days early from another hotel i had paid for another 2 days at (i am fighting with hotels.com on that one). This was such a better hotel . The staff was nicer, the rooms were better...heat was included (which is why i had to leave other hotel). I had no porblems with my first hotel ...but this was the best of all 4 i had stayed at..definitely worth the price.

When I arrived to the hotel ,They didn't have the room that I booked and expedia confirmed me they set the booking then they offered me a different room at a higher price, thank god I asked the lady in charge to show me the room, she was in a bad mood and she showed me a cubbyhole with a musty smell , meanwhile I was checking my phone to get another hotel, I was witness to many customer's complaints, this is not a Hotel that Expedia should be offering to its members .

Warm service cold room

I will start with the positives as the location was convenient, the interior quite nice, the bed very comfortable and service superb. However, the experience was spoilt by how cold the place is aggravated by the fact that in 6 days we could only get 1 hot shower. Wifi was pretty unstable too but it was not the biggest issue.

Um bom custo beneficio e excelente localização. Funcionários cordiais e sempre solícitos. Um bom café da manhã, apesar de pouca variedade. Os quartos estavam sempre bem limpos, apesar de simples. Uma ótima ducha e agua quente sempre. Possui 4 níveis e sem elevador.

Check in was easy, staff speaks great English. They have maps and ask if you have any questions and will help with directions. Cusco is freezing at night but their beds have real duvets and a heater you could use if you were cold. I got a balcony room which is great in theory but it was small (standing room only) and faced the street so lots of outside noise. I had room 101 right by reception and I found it also to be loud so if you’re a light sleeper, ask for a room in the back. Street had lots of laundry options and restaurants and just a few minutes walk to San Blas and Plaza de Armas, great location.
