Nestled in the heart of Custer County, this charming 1 room cabin offers a cozy and inviting retreat for your next vacation. Surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Black Hills, you'll be just a 22-minute drive from the breathtaking Wind Cave National Park, where you can explore vast underground caverns and witness the incredible wildlife.

As a traveler, you'll enjoy the convenience of free WiFi and a smart TV with Dish satellite/cable channels, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. The fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, microwave, coffee maker (Keuring and brew pot), blender, and toaster, allows you to prepare delicious meals. The dining table provides the perfect setting for shared meals.

The cabin's essentials, including bathroom towels, basic soaps, a hair dryer, an iron and board, and comfortable linens, ensure your stay is both comfortable and convenient. With air conditioning, heating, and a living room, you'll be able to unwind in comfort no matter the weather.

For entertainment, the cabin has a DVD player, books, as well as a variety of games and toys for the little ones. Step outside and enjoy the cozy fire pit, outdoor play area, bean bag toss, and comfortable outdoor furniture, where you can soak in the peaceful surroundings. If it's raining, don't worry. You have a 30' x 8' covered porch to sit, grill, and watch for rainbows.

The stay was excellent, Carmen and her husband Jim are very welcoming. Cooper their dog was a sweetheart and visited almost every day at some point. The cabin had everything that we needed for our stay and we really enjoyed the outdoor country stay. I would highly recommend staying with them.

Peaceful retreat in South Dakota

We had a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful surroundings and wildlife. The hosts are amazing and we had a great time visiting with them. Close enough to Custer State Park to drive in every day to see and enjoy the sites in the Black Hills area and come back for a relaxing evening.

The cabin was spectacular and a great location.... minutes from Custer State Park and Wind Cave National Park. The cabin had all the comforts of home.... the hosts were very good and gave us great information about things to do and see in the area. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the day fade to evening....

Beautiful location!

We had a great time staying at Bison Pines! Jim, Carmen and their puppy, Cooper :) were so welcoming and helpful! This location is perfectly central to seeing sites in the area but then having a quiet and peaceful place to come back to! The cabin has ALL the essentials…everything you need and then some. We loved our visit and would very highly recommend!

Absolutely Wonderful

Loved the location. Very peaceful and beautiful view. Cabin is exceptionally well stocked. Cooper was such a sweetie coming to visit for belly rubs and kisses. Enjoyed speaking with Carmen very personable and gave great suggestions for the area.

Perfect peace

Spent a week taking in all that the black hills area had to offer. This was better than coming home every day. Such a peaceful setting with more than we could have needed. We fixed breakfast and dinner there every day and packed lunch for most days out. Well exceeded our expectations. Extremely clean.

South Dakota Getaway

Bison Pines was beautiful! It was our first visit to the area. While we spent our days sightseeing, it was so nice to come back to a quiet, secluded cabin with a beautiful view to rest up for the next day.

Little House on the Prairie

Quiet, relaxing, and beautiful views! Jim and Carmen were super hosts and they “nailed it” with all the touches to make us feel comfortable and at home. Their dog, Cooper, is an added bonus and quite the greeter. We enjoyed roaming the property and watching the wildlife. Trust me…do not look anywhere else if you’re even thinking about looking for another place in this area!
