「Property was unkept, unsafe, dirty. I grew up in country on a farm. I am not afraid of outdoors. This place however was dangerously unkept, unsafe from snakes crawling around under tent filled with spiders and unclean. My advise is to RUN AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE.」

「We had no idea where to stay and when I came across pictures of this lodge I knew this was it. We arrived and we were greeted by Deb as we were checking the place out before we went to look for our room. Very sweet lady! It was soooo relaxing to come back at night after our adventures to relax on the front porch! Don’t hesitate book this lodge now!! We will definitely be back!」

「We had such great stay! The rain put a monkey wrench in our riding plans all day Friday but the hot tub became a big hit! The outdoor games were enjoyed all weekend! The house was clean and very comfortable! Trystin was easy to communicate with! I highly recommend this unit! Good eating in the town too!!」

「This spot had everything to make my stay comfortable and welcoming. It is the perfect location to explore the area and the room and home was both luxurious and homey feeling all at the same time. Deb and other guests were warm and welcoming to me and my dog and we couldn't have asked for a better setup. We would love to return and would definitely recommend to others!」

「Our group of four stayed at The Paddle House in Custer for four nights in July 2025 to ride the full 109-mile Mickelson Trail. The cabin was pristine, with a generous kitchen and a deck featuring a hot tub, ideal for relaxing after our rides. The garage was perfect for storing our bikes securely. The host was quick to respond and very accommodating. The only issue was a broken dryer, which we hope is fixed for future guests. Highly recommended for trail riders!」

「Stopped on our way through the hills. The room was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Check-in was very smooth. The owners made a point to stop and greet us on arrival and are very friendly and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay again when in the area. 」
