「Charming location that allowed exploring the lake district without a car. Frequent buses at the stop nearby. Loved the old stone walls with the slate floors. We have an old house with narrow stairs, so they felt like home. (Hang onto the railing). We arrived in a downpour, and had some trouble locating #14 (overgrown). Thank goodness for SPAR at the gas station for hot coffee and food basics. Go hiking out the back, up the field, around the sheep for some incredible views」

「Lind End cottage is situated in a beautifully isolated location. The cottage provided all the amenities we were looking for and really felt like a home from home.The land lady made us feel very welcome.We had a great stay and hope to come back sometime.Many Thanks.Polly and Didier.」

「I liked the availability of stair gates, as the steps were very steep. The house is in a walkable distance from the shops. Also handy to have a convenient store next door. I received a warm welcome with some treats (thank you very much). 」

「A very comfortable flat big enough for four with ever-changing views from two big windows in two separate rooms. We will remember for a long time the sound of curlews as the sun set!」

「Charming cottage in a peaceful location. Only a short drive to Newby Bridge and Bowness on Windermere. Step out into gorgeous rolling countryside, leafy lanes, secluded scenic walks. Lovely neighbours. A cosy pub within a one mile walk. It had everything we needed.」

「The location was amazing. Secluded with beautiful views...exactly what we wanted. There was a lovely supermarket just a couple of miles away. The property was in reasonable distance from local attractions. Peil Castle and the train to lake Windemere were firm favourites with the kids, as was the beach...right outside the gate! The cottage was clean and had all the facilities required.We look forward to visiting again. 」
