Family trip

We had a lovely stay. The property is in a great location with beautiful views. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook. Beds were comfortable. The floors were quite dirty when we checked in but I called the management company and they resolved the issue immediately. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location.

The location was great and the management company was very responsive. That being said, the furnishings are very worn out and uninviting. The views are good, great location in Dana Point near ocean and amenities but cleanliness and an upscale feel would be more important to us in the future.

We loved our stay!

We had the most lovely time- everything you want from a beach rental. We would love to return! There is a loud train that passes relatively frequently, and there is no AC but being right on the water, we couldn’t ask for more. Steps from the water, more than one beach less than 10 min away. Great location, has everything you need for a beach vacation!

Beautiful location

This house is as described. The location is beautiful. The house is dated but it didn’t bother us as we expected it from past reviews. Kitchen could use some additional provisions. This was not an issue for us in October but the house does not have A/C. We would stay again but would shop knowing what to expect

Ocean Vacation

The place is as describe. The location is unmatched. The whole time you can hear the waves crushing. No matter where you are in the property. Short Drive from downtown Dana Point and San Clemente. I would love to return!

You can’t have ANY visitors

The photos are not accurate representations of the place but the most frustrating part of our stay was learning you literally can’t have a single person over for dinner if you already have four people staying at the property. The Gate Guards won’t let people in unless the property manager adds them to a computer system and they won’t do it. Plus they told us the owners are surveilling the property. We would have never picked this property if we knew this because we were visiting family. No parties is one thing, not being able to invite my grandma over for dinner is ridiculous.

The location was nice. The furniture is incredibly old. There is rust everywhere in the vents. The curtains are brown. I didn't even want to sit on the furniture unfortunately. The photos are misleading. I am sure parts of the house are fine but the area we stayed in needs some major love.

Disappointing

First off, the unit has spectacular view of the ocean. However, there are a number of critical functions that should be addressed. We could not get the stove and oven work. The garbage disposal was not functioning 80% of the windows not operable. The deck was filthy. This owner should do some work on the unit before renting it again, especially to be addressed or basic functions like the ability to cook on a working stove.

Nice place overall

Cute place!! But no access to the beach. Not sure what is going on with the beach by the property but the back fence is broken and somewhat unsafe. Filthy floors. If you are planning to cook there in the spacious kitchen plan to not have the tools you will need.

The property was in seriously gross disrepair. Everything is rusty and moldy and falling apart. The furniture is old, stinky and stained. The oven/stove didn’t work at all. We were told it would be replaced while we were there, but that never happened. The day we checked out, there were guys in the parking lot with an oven, waiting for us to leave. There is black mold on the ceilings, and mold in both showers. Most of the windows don’t open/have no cranks, and the back deck is crumbling and disgusting. I conveyed all of this to the owner/management and I seriously hope they listen, and clean this house. It’s nasty. Worst place I’ve ever stayed, which is sad, because it has so much potential.

The property is a little rundown, needs paint inside and outside in balcony. Floor outside in balcony is in bad condition. Kitchen missing common items, salad bowl, pot to make pasta for 4 people, wine glasses and other things. Washing machine had mold. Bathroom sinks backups. 90% of windows don't open, handle missing and mechanism broken. The photos of the listing do not accurately represent the property correctly. There is no table for 4 outside as shown in the first photo or recliners to lay in.

Tired Rental

In need of some attention to detail and upgrade / painting. Window mechanics broken on several windows and basics missing, like a proper set of glasses (few miscellaneous glasses provided). Balcony not cleaned. Great kitchen for cooking. Property can get very hot - we missed the disclosure of no A/C. Vacasa was very responsive and provided a portable unit. Much appreciated. No beach access!

Ocean front but no access to the beach within the whole community. So you stay beach front and then have to drive to a public beach. The floor was really dirty, wore socks cause my feet would get dirty from the floor. Beds and furniture old and worn out. The cable had no volume in front main tv. Other tenants double parked in the covered parking so could not use it. Called and vacasa said they could not help. No manual for home like most places have to give you a heads up on things around the area. No guidance to get to the beach out front. Asked security and said no access in the community. Bottom of door was locked upon checking in, so we had to call to get in. The view was awesome.

Need a partial refund!

Your listing did not come close to meeting our expectations. Complaint #1: As soon as we arrived we noticed the A/C not working. When we tried to open the windows only 2 opened, one in each bedroom. We had to leave the door open to get air in the living room/kitchen but had to close them at night obviously. That left the 2 people sleeping in the living room with out any air circulation. We called the first day to report this and that most of the windows wouldn't open. They said they would have a technician come out but no one ever showed up. No one ever called to check on us either. #2: Wifi sucks! Kept going in and out. Couldn't watch TV or movies since they were streaming through wi-fi. No audio on Cox channels. #3: No indication that there was a loud train right out the window up until midnight on some nights. #4: Dirty floors. Had to wear socks. #5: 6 towels for 6 people for 5 nights??? Had to go buy laundry detergent to wash towels after day 2 as none were provided. #6: Listing is severely misleading since there is no beach access and crappy patio furniture. Table was falling down. Looks MUCH bigger in the pictures and no square footage provided. #7 Terribly uncomfortable sofa bed. #8 What's provided in the kitchen is laughable for this price point. #9 Don't even get me started on the car hassles!! Obviously when people are flying in and renting a car they can not provide you with car details before checking in!!! Will NOT stay at a VACASA rental again.
