「Great location and amenities. Unfortunately there is no insulation between floors and there was a very loud group above us one of the nights and it was quite disturbing. I don’t think it was a party, but they were speaking very loudly. I did notify management but honestly I don’t think the group was having a party, it’s just that the lack of insulation is problematic. Be aware that one of the bedrooms does not have a full wall so noises from the living area can be clearly heard in that bedroom. ...

「We were welcomed by a very run down property (peeling paint, very dirty entrance, and filthy hallways) and a dense cloud of weed smell. This is not a hotel, but a rough temporary apartment building. Very basic room (no coffee maker, no hairdryer), but thankfully once we got in the room it was clean, but had an extremely strong scent of disinfectant, which actually was better than the weed smell in the hallways. 「The space itself is well thought out and felt comfortable. The room was clean and organized. Like all older buildings in Chicago, the air conditioner had mold on it and the hallways were gross - smelled strongly of marijuana. However, I felt safe and the area is beautiful. This place is a great option if you are doing something at the U of Chicago. If you want practical, this is great. If you want shiny, look elsewhere. The host was excellent.」
