This is one of the last workman's bar and motels in Darwin. It is situated in the industrial area. It has a drive through bottle shop and sports bar that can make a toasted sandwich but take aways / restaurants are a drive away. Close to the airport. Easy to get to get the keys and access to the room. The room had comfy beds and a very good strong shower.

Convenient for the airport but not safe.

It is unusual at Hotel.com to have a hotel connected to a bar. What makes it inappropriate is that the bar offers a striptease show inside the bar. You can imagine the crowd of guys in the bar and on the hotel parking lot before the show begins. While you access your hotel room thanks to a "safe that contains your key", and a code to enter the reception area, there is an OPEN DOOR in the reception area of the hotel that connects the bar to the hotel. The reception is unattended, which is a potential security breach.

I t is an old motel in an industrial area. We are in our 80’s but she didn’t offer help to lug our luggage up steep, narrow stairs. We looked at menu in room and went down for dinner. Sorry no meals today. Nothing in the area a supermarket a couple kms away. The next morning the taxi to airport cost $30 because we had to drive half way back to turn around for hwy. Terrible experience

A bit noisy during the night. Something loud rattling now and then which may have been pipes. Doors slamming (more than likely guests coming in very late with no regard fir other guests). Otherwise quite comfortable and very friendly staff.

Pick up of keys were straightforward. The room was basic but clean and functional. The beds did not come with duvets (just sheets) and water pressure was weak. The walls are very thin so expect loads of noise in the morning when people are moving out. But works perfectly as a brief overnight stay before or after a flight.

We arrived at 1am, tired but optimistic, ready to execute the clearly laid-out instructions from the hotel. Step one: retrieve envelope from the safe. Nailed it. Step two: read said envelope. We got cocky. "Surely this keycard is for the front door," we thought. Swipe. Denied. Swipe again. Denied. The front door sighed, locked us out for 10 minutes, and probably judged us. Fair. Once we regained entry and our dignity, things went uphill fast. The room was generously sized, the bed was delightfully comfy, and the hotel was perfectly located—just a short stumble from Apollo Campers, which was our morning mission. The pillows were enthusiastic overachievers in the fluff department—great if you're into neck elevation, less so if you sleep like a pancake. Bonus quirk: flipped a power point above the bed (not a light switch) in the morning and—ta-da!—the TV and aircon fired up in unison like they'd been waiting for their cue in a Broadway number. All in all, a solid stay with a few laughs at our own expense. Would stay again (and read the envelope next time).
