Canaan Valley is an upland valley in northeastern Tucker County, West Virginia, USA. Within it are extensive wetlands and the headwaters of the Blackwater River which spills out of the valley at Blackwater Falls. It is a well-known and partially undeveloped scenic attraction and tourist draw, associated with the Canaan Valley Resort State Park and the Blackwater Falls State Park.
Canaan Valley was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1974. The National Park Service citation indicates that the Valley is 'a splendid 'museum' of Pleistocene habitats containing an aggregation of these habitats seldom found in the eastern United States. It is unique as a northern boreal relict community at this latitude by virtue of its size, elevation and diversity.' Since 1994, almost 70% of the Valley has become the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge, the nation's 500th National Wildlife Refuge.
Your accommodation will be in an Individually owned hotel condominium. Enjoy your stay in our romantic Inn Suite, a 4 season resort in Canaan Valley, WV. Relax in front of the fire place, in the over sized jacuzzi tub or sitting on the back deck gazing into the stars at night. 40 inch flat screen TV, DVD/VHS with video library.
Suite is equipped with half refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and toaster. Beautiful view from the picture window and balcony.

Very nice place and lovely hosts. Beautiful views from the property and very conveniently located next to Davis and Thomas. Hot water took a decent amount of time to get warm and water pressure was quite low. Had all of the essentials for cooking and a nice variety of methods of cooking. Definitely will be back!

This place was perfect for my needs. Nice big comfortable bed. Decorated cute. More specific information on the actual building would be helpful. There are several units in the building but the numbers can not be read from the street. Also I needed to use my light on phone to read code to open the door.

The balcony view was beautiful and calming, and the sunrise was the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. The bed was extremely comfortable. The wind chime was a nice touch when the wind blew. It made us smile..The location could not be more perfect right in the middle of everything you want to see in the cane Valley and surrounding area. Mountain State brewing in Thomas and Stumptown L in Davis were two of our favorite stops.

Great getaway option for the price
We booked last minute to escape the extreme heat in Richmond. This condo had everything we needed. We stayed 7 nights and were very comfortable. We mostly ate out and used the microwave and toaster oven but we also used the induction plate to cook a couple of times. There is a full refrigerator. The only sink is shared between the kitchen and the bathroom but it is right next to the dishwasher so no need to wash dishes. The resort area is beautiful. It is quiet and peaceful with lovely views. The balcony was perfect for morning coffee. I had to work several days and the wifi was sufficient for all the bandwidth I needed. The condo is just a few miles from Davis and Thomas with grocery store, restaurants, coffee and ice cream shops. Also a few miles in either direction are beautiful state parks. We will definitely repeat this trip!

Consider this an opportunity for improvement OFI. Nice size room, access was easy and kitchenette was nice but there was no sink, please get rid of the ugly shelf closet with a shower curtain in the main room, the bathroom shower curtain was disgusting and dirty, underneath the bed and lamp was dirty and dusty, the windows were dirty, the rug, cloth shower curtain and bed quilt were from a flea market- its “Black Bear Resort” so presentation of bear themes might attract repeat customers. There were pictures of birds on the wall which were nice, but there were no bear pictures, except for a cartoon bear cut-out in the bathroom and you might want to cover up the screws and clean and stain the trim.

This is a gem
This property far exceeded my expectations. Extremely large room and also a very large bathroom. Reminded me of a ski Chalet. Very easy to get to the parks and to the different towns. My friend stayed in another location and paid double

Great for a peaceful getaway
Used the cabin for a conference stay while my husband traveled with me. It was a nice get away and he was able to relax and enjoy the quiet time while I was gone each day. The inside of the room was clean and had anything we needed. I would’ve liked to seen more cleanliness to the outside of the facilities in hallways and steps, it was a little concerning when we arrived, but thankfully the inside was clean! Everyone was great and easy to work with. We will definitely return if back in the area.
