We frequent the Sleep Inn when we have business in Decatur and Sharon is awesome! Very friendly and helpful service good hot breakfast options in addition to quick sweets….definitely a solid recommendation for staying here

Your property was the most reasonably priced for the length of stay that I needed, with the best reviews. The room was clean and the staff friendly, especially Sharon, she was great! The other employees kind of ignored everyone and just went about whatever they were doing. When I checked in, the gentleman at the front desk was kind and polite but I had to go back the next day to have my points added to my rewards program. My room was supposed to be cleaned after 3 days, but it was 4. I had to ask for my trash to be removed. Breakfast offeriengs were very minimal. It was clean and I wasn't there all day so it was a nice place to stay for my needs. It was not convenient to the location I was visiting but neither were the other hotels.

Front office was cordial. Room clean. Very nice breakfast. Shower had a very large crack in the bottom that had been glued, and not attractively. Slight musty smell in room but I wondered if it was the a/c unit. Bed comfortable. Convenient for an overnight stay on a road trip.

The security lock on the door was broken, falling off the shower and water in the sink for look very low pressure not very good. Other than that the room was relatively clean. It was kinda outdated but other natters it was it was OK. Good condition.

So so

It was very last minute for us, but the room was not clean. We have to call housekeeper to vacuum the couch bed that was supposed to be a queen sized bed. When we took the couch cushion off, there was so much stuff underneath. Q tips, crumbs, etc. there were cigarette ashes on the air conditioner and several spots just not clean. This really was very last minute and the second night I felt a little more comfortable. Housekeeping did come up immediately when we contacted them and we appreciated that.

Having a lake right outside the window was amazing. The hotel appears to be getting slowly remodeled, and it desperately needs it. With all of this being said though, this place has hands down, not even close, the best staff I've ever encountered. The 2 ladies that we encountered were friendly, professional, and EXCELLENT at what they do. Hopefully, when we come back to the area, this location has finished the much needed work AND kept these 2 ladies!!

As I was checking out, I learned that I had been given the wrong room. Which would explain the broken door handle that I was assured would get fixed (it didn't). Also, while the room appeared to have been cleaned, there was a wad of hair clinging to the side of the shower (clearly missed). The AC/heater needs some maintenance and the windows need insulation. Bed was nice, shower was hot, and morning staff was friendly.

Not a great stay. Hotel is dated. Thought we would get to use the hot tub, but it was empty. Some stuff that happened was not controllable by the hotel (like really loud, obnoxious kids in the pool area) however, if their parents hadn't been drinking in a place they should not have, that may not have happened. And our next door neighbor was smoking pot, in a non-smoking hotel. Not great, since we had a connecting door to them. Bed was comfortable, staff was okay, though the housekeeper had to knock on our door to figure out if we were a stayover because their computer system wasn't working. Not something you want on a Sunday at 9:15. Also front desk clerk said breakfast on Sunday went til 10. Not correct, considering it was gone when we got downstairs well before 10.

The good, the bad, and there was no ugly!

The good: Front desk staff was extremely helpful! The man working when I checked in late at night went out of his way to get me a laundry cart to help carry my belongings in when another guest had the baggage cart. Breakfast amounts were plentiful and regularly restocked. The pool was clean and warm! The beds were comfy and the room was clean! The bad: Breakfast attendant was loud and appeared to enjoy complaining. Breakfast had the same options both mornings we stayed. The hot tub had been drained and was not in working condition. There was a probable towel shortage...we had to ask for towels for the pool and when we asked for towels for our room, the staff asked if we had any upstairs that could be washed. We didn't, however, as hotel staff had taken our used towels hanging on the hooks but had not replaced them. One of our keys had to be reprogramed and the person working the front desk didn't confirm my name or any information before programming it to the room number I gave her. The TV wasn't working during our 2 night stay. We were told it was being repaired but didn't see that happen while we were there.

I had to change rooms 3 different times before I found one clean enough for me to sleep in and that room didn't even have power but it was clean so I dealt with it. Rooms had bugs, mold, soap scum and hair. I will never stay here again. I don't know how they charge as much as they do per night.
