Wow. Amazing house and pool

Great vacation home. The view is stunning even when the lake levels are low. The sunset every night is gorgeous. The pool is extremely nice and relaxing. Thank you so much for having us. We really enjoyed our stay!!

This was such a beautiful property to stay at. It was peaceful and quiet. The views were amazing. The house had everything we needed. The hosts were so accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. We would definitely come back for another visit! Thank you!!!

Beautiful place but some things to note

7/10 The house itself is gorgeous and views are 10/10. However there’s a few things that should be mentioned as an fyi for future renters. We loved the home we just didn’t feel very welcomed. It felt like we were intruding on someone’s home. Here’s why: -There is absolutely no closet space as the owners likely actively live there because they were all full of the family’s clothes and shoes and etc. So if you are staying longer than a couple days just know you don’t have a place to hang or store your clothes. -Per the owner the hot tub is not available for renters to use which is why he said it’s not listed however it does show it in the pictures. So somewhat deceptive. -You aren’t allowed to use their bar or drink any of their liquor so be sure to bring your own if you plan to have any cocktails or wine or etc. -The owner stated that rain was possibly the reason the WiFi was spotty all weekend so just just know that, if you are needing WiFi while you are on your trip. -The fridge had space however the only pull out drawers and space on the door was all occupied by the owners food and condiments. We didn’t use as it’s not ours but we did have to get a little creative with the space we had. -Lastly, and this one is just more of an fyi and absolutely not in the owners control, but if it’s raining just know you will hear loud bullfrogs all night off the master because they all like to make their way to the pool during the rain.

Everything was clean and inviting. A sun screen over the back sliding doors didn't work but I rigged a way to raise it so it didn't interfere with passing through to the patio. The owner was aware of the problem and my fix.

Upon arriving we were so blessed to see such a beautiful home. The excitement was when we stepped out to the patio, it is one of the most beautiful scenes of Lake Amastad. All evenings we watched the beautiful sunsets. 👍🏼❤️

A Luxurious Fishing Trip

What a treat to spend a hot day on the lake and come home to a beautiful, restorative pool! The house is gorgeous and comfortable too, but it was the pool that got us off the water! The host was quick to respond to our questions, and we are hoping to rent this home again.

Great place. Lake looking a little rough but that's not the owners fault. The owner was super helpful when we needed answers to some of our questions. Pictures a little old. Very happy with our visit.

We would highly recommend this beautiful home. We stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location was great. While is was not too far from town, it felt as though we were in a remote spot. We had deer in the back yard and other wildlife down in the valley between us and the reservoir. The home is spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The place had all the amenities we needed.

The pictures don’t do the property justice. We had a great time and a beautiful view. Property owner was helpful and assisted us with any questions. We did run into a few hiccups, but it was not the fault of anyone. The property owner kept good communication with us, and gave us updates.

Wonderful Home with Lake View!

This home was the perfect place for us to stay after the very long quarantine due to the pandemic. You feel secluded but not alone and it is clean and safe. The open spaces with bright sunshine make it an invigorating experience. Excellent management and amenities make this a memorable experience for a couple in love for 39 years and counting!

Vacation on Lake Amistad

The home was very nice and exactly as advertised. It is a very nice property, well maintained, with an excellent view of the lake and a spectacular sunset each evening. When we had an issue with the hot water one day, the owner promptly fixed the problem. The cost to rent this home is more than the others in the area, but it is a significantly nicer property.

little pricey for what you get

the pool was not working correctly. I called the owner and he advised he would send over the pool guy. the pool guy never showed. the lake is very low compared to what the picture shows. the views are very nice and it is in a nice neighborhood. the lake was shut down the second day I was there so I went home without any refund. I contacted VRBO via email and never received a response. my advise, save your money and go to the texas coast.
