旅館本身比較有歷史,設施相對稍舊,但看得出很久以前應該也是很有名的飯店,入住期間也有人來辦婚宴跟生日party。

the hotel is very classic, half of the electronic items are not working when I checking, it will require the service people to fix one by one - such as power plug, hairdryer, and WIFI.

旅館整個非常乾淨,服務人員非常勤於打掃。早餐室雖小,但菜色很不錯。WiFi 在房間內也夠強。旅館位置還不錯,位於德里的中心。附近有不少觀光景點,及posh 的khan market。

一嚐大使的古典體驗
酒店前身是大使館,旁邊就有一個購物與餐廳並存的市場,購物飲食都方便。酒店唯一缺點就是可以帶寵物入住,感覺很不衛生。我的床上還有兩根頭髮還是毛?

地段好,靠地铁,可汗市场,离lodi garden and delhi golf club也很近,lodi是个适合跑步的公园,挺美。由于是欧式建筑,所以房间都很大,带会客的区域,也适合家庭游入住,加床也不嫌房间小。早餐一般,但餐厅有南美或西班牙风情,不错。可惜价格略高,四星级的装修赶上五星的价格了。

Beautiful property in an amazing area. The reception greeted me in a friendly way and upgraded my room to a suite. I had a late flight the following day and they let me checkout at 3pm. Mr. Ajay Kumar, working at front security for the hotel was very friendly, accommodating and exemplary employee, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Thank you.

Lovely housekeeping and dining staff. Bhup Singh and Uma Shankar were very courteous and provided service with a smile. Also the gentleman who takes your luggage at the reception. I will be back at the Ambassador for sure. Spacious room and soundproof. Location is superb in terms of connectivity. Reception staff are fine but not as polished as the rest of the crew, but they are younger so that probably explains it.

The Ambassador is a nice hotel in the green New Delhi area of the city. A short walk away from a small shopping area with upmarket shops and reasonably priced restaurants and a bank with ATM. Also within walking distance (or short taxi/Tuk Tuk ride) is Lodi Gardens which has several historic buildings. The staff at the Ambassador are excellent as are the drivers of the Hotel Car service. The rooms and beds were also excellent. Would stay there again.

I stay at Ambassador frequently when in Delhi if I cannot stay at my Club. I like the old world charm and the balconies and good sized rooms. The breakfast and the staff at breakfast are also lovely. Ambassador has a problem they need to fix if they are to be taken seriously -- they charge for ice! It took me 45 mins to get an ice tray delivered to my room (and, yes, I refused to pay for it). They need to read customer feedback and install an ice machine or provide ice trays in their fridge or make the ice delivery prompt and complimentary.

I have stayed several times at Ambassador Hotel! It is centrally located and the staff go above and beyond every time. The breakfast menu is the same everyday and gets monotonous! You need to provide some variety!

Suite rooms pictures misleading Receptionist bad
Starting from Airport pickup - despite multiple phone calls to hotel ahead of arrival, the driver arrived 3 hours early. We told him to come at 11:30 am IST as we were waiting for our parent's flight to arrive. Receptionist didnt convey this to the driver and he was waiting at IGI from 8:30 am.We Booked 2 Allure Suites based on the pictures on the website. When we reached hotel, the suites were nowhere near the pictures. They were dark and damp. They dont face on the front side of the building. They are built inward facing which makes them dark. When I booked , I mentioned that I want a room which is well lit with natural light . The hotel receptionist Roshmita offered us double room instead of suite which was on first floor and third floor and faced to the front. When we said yes to be downgraded , she said 3rd floor room is not available. Then we were shown 3 rooms but none of them was well lit and upto the mark. We had to finally settle for a side facing room on 3rd floor . Next was the bed , it was small for three people and when we asked for extra single bed, she said it will cost us extra. It was a horrible experience with multiple viewings and downgrading from suite to a room which too didnt give us a experience we were expecting. Hotel staff needs to improve on respecting their words when they offer something.Also they should respect the drivers who make so much effort to do airport transfers.Breakfast in the morning was good . I wished I booked Lalit at same cost

I love this humble hotel. It may be a dash faded, but it's vibe is warm. One of the best breakfasts, too. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. My room was clean and simple. The location may be the best--a minute walk to Khan market. It's a quiet place, nostalgic-feeling.

Decline in quality
I've stayed at the Ambassador many times. It has declined significantly. We waited nearly 2 hours to get a room. The bed was hard. Towels were old and threadbare. One day, there was toothpaste provided in the bathroom, the next day, a toothbrush. The restaurant charged exorbitantly (INR 1999 for a serving of dhal) for mediocre food.

I always stay at the Ambassador when I am in Delhi. It is close to Khan market, Lodi garden and a metro station. The staff are all excellent and always make me feel very welcome. It is my home away from home in Delhi. Love this hotel.

The location and services are excellent. It is an older property and has a colonial past feel which is a nice contrast to the modern day hotels construction and look/feel. My key disappointment with this property is the bad quality of bed - if you cannot get a good sleep everything else matters less. And this issue is quick, easy and relatively inexpensive to fix (from overall operating costs of the hotel). Please do upgrade the beds to match closely with most of the other Taj properties and you will see many more 5 star ratings !!!

This is a run down hotel. There are leakages in the bathroom, old style, breakfast area isn’t clean, service is very poor. This is a slum and def not Taj standards

Good stay overall. Rooms were clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean but really outdated. There was a small water leak-like a drip maybe from a condensation unit. They offered to repair but we wanted to rest so we told them we were ok until we left and it was just for their knowledge. But maintenance staff was very responsive. We stayed there for two days, the day we checked in they were 4 people outside the entrance, they helped get the luggage from the car which was nice, only to scan through their X-ray machine like many hotels in India do. The disappointment part is that after checking the luggage they just look at you. There is no communication to say, please go inside and someone will help you at the front. So once they check the luggage they just ignore you, they do not open the door or point the way to the front desk neither help you with the luggage. When we approached the check-in desk, the lady had issues with their system and it took her 15-20 minutes to check us in. The day we checked out we had schedule private transport to go from New Delhi to Agra. We scheduled it at 11:30AM so at 11:15 I went down to do my check out. The person who checked us out started asking for payment. I explained and showed the receipts from Expedia that we had already paid. She didn’t know how to check in her end. She asked to borrow my phone to show someone. My Uber showed up and it took them until 11:35 to figure things out. They need help in that area.

Stuffy and hot - and in the worst way possible
The hotel is very old and clearly in desperate need of upgrades. The location is the best in delhi BUT this no longer is able to overcome the prémédités that are falling apart. In the heat of a delhi summer, no AC for 3 days? And, no solution for how to best take care of paying guests? Unfortunately, this was our last time staying there

The hotel is beautiful outside and has a great potential to be a great hotel, but the interior needs clearly a renovation. Breakfast food is good enough and waitress are kind, but the patio and breakfast room it does not cover the expectations for the hotel price. Pool was under renovation and it does not mentioned.
