Ideal hotel if you're in the area
Simple but comfortable hotel in the neighbourhood near to our friends', and therefore convenient. Prices fair and staff very courteous. A few missteps but nothing worth complaining about (save for an excessive chemical smell post-bathroom cleaning). Large and fresh breakfast. Decent wifi. Would consider staying here again if I ever have the displeasure of being in Delhi again.

Amazing little boutique hotel with superb attentive staff and great food. Room was larg modern and clean. We booked due to proximity to southern station for an early departure, as a result we found we were quite a distance from central Delhi and therefore no local restaurant or bars. Taxis arranged for entire day were organised by the hotel at a great price 1400 rps, 90rps added for parking and he followed our request to the letter, even stopping to buy a couple of bottles of beer as sadly the hotel has no bar.

Pleasant stay at Basil
I had a very nice stay at Basil the Residency. The staff are courteous and do their best to make you feel welcome. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. The breakfast buffet offers a nice choice of Indian breakfast foods. The neighbourhood is a nice and quiet residential area. It is close to the main roads yet at some distance to the metro. Nonetheless I can warmly recommend the hotel to all headed to Delhi for holiday or business.

The entire staff at this hotel is very helpful and kind. As a foreign woman traveling alone, I felt comfortable at this hotel. The rooms are very clean and the showers are great!

Best Little Hotel in New Delhi
From the moment I arrive until to time I left hotel staff were there to cater to any needs. They arranged taxis suggested places to go. The hotel was clean and neat small about 20 rooms. Rooms were very nice good air conditioning Very clean bathroom with shower. TV and very good internet . Has emergency generator so never lost power.

Good Place
We have stayed four days in this property. Staff was very good. It's bit pricey in compare to the facilities. Very good WiFi. But our Bathroom was always had a bad Odor, whenever we complained. They sprayed some room spray but that didn't help much. Otherwise the food was good and room was good. Safe place.

Great for $40 if you like lemongrass scent
I'm a fussy American, and I was pretty impressed. You'll never get that kind of service at a Motel 6. In some ways it was 4 star (very attentive front desk and other staff), and in other ways 2 star (king bed was two twins pushed together, pressure treated wood decor). If you're bothered by scents, I wouldn't recommend it-- for me, the smoke masking lemongrass odor did its job and wasn't too offensive. Strong, though. I didn't expect an Embassy Suites experience, and for $40 neither should you. Highly enjoyable.

Great Value For Money
The service by the entire hotel staff was fantastic, the only drawback is location.However within a day you will be accustomed, but its difficult to guide the cab driver or the auto guy.They should spend on advertisement.I completely disagree with the earlier review of non availability of kitchen.They serve 24*7 and fresh food.The choice on menu is very good.The complimentary breakfast is worth it,they prepare things on order as well (you don't pay extra).They book the cab also for transfer to Airport ( reasonable price).The service is excellent.I'll stay there again.

fantastic service
What a fantastic service! Never ever have i received such service in Canada or US. Indian service is amongst best in the world and Basil staff certainly proves it. Location is also close to Lotus temple and Akshadham temple. And not too far from Cannought Place. Just that room seemed a little small because we had 3 people in a room. But service didnt lack anywhere. Keep the good job going.

Great value for money & friendly staff!
This was my second stay at Basil the Residency. It was a very good experience last year so this was my first choice for my brief stay in Delhi this year. Having had a long road trip through India, Delhi was my last stop before flying back home and the staff at Basil the Residency not only provided a very warm welcome but also a clean, quiet room to rest. The hotel was close to what I wanted to visit/see and the amenities in the room were really good compared to some places I had stayed in. More importantly, knowing that I had a late flight the front desk graciously allowed me a late check out - something that most hotels would have grudgingly agreed to. The complimentary breakfast is more than adequate, the wait staff are pleasant and overall, the hotel provides a good place to get away from the noise and traffic of Delhi. No hesitation in recommending this hotel!!

Good location and service
The hotel is well located near Apollo and Fortis hospitals. The service is very good and personalised. The rooms are reasonably clean and the beds comfortable. The hotel is a bit run down and needs renovation. We chose the place due to proximity to Apollo and were happy with our stay overall.

地下鉄の駅からはリキシャーが必須です。交通量が非常に多いところで道路に面した部屋は少しうるさいかもしれませんが、側面の部屋はそれほど気になりませんでした。 エアコンの他に小型のファンヒーターがあり、すぐ暖かくなる点はプラスです。 デラックスルームは適度な広さです。綺麗で居心地はいいです。 裏手を十五分ほど歩くとニューフレンズマーケットがあり、食べ物にはそれほどこまりません。 ネールプレイス界隈、インド門までの観光には便利な場所です。 マイナス点 ツインベッドをお願いして、すぐ了解の返事がきたのにダブルのままで、少し部屋にはいるのが手間取ったこと。観光して帰ってきたら、ルームクリーニングがされてなく、スタッフに文句をいったら、部屋に準備されてなかったドアノブにかける札をかけろといわれた。 あと★★★クラスに四ヶ所宿泊したが、レストランで手書きで、金額も書いてない伝票をだされたのはここだけ。清算時にレシートのくれなかった。 かなり格安で泊まれたので不満はないですが今の価格だと少し高いと感じるかもしれません。

The stay was comfortable. Location is excellent on main mathura road near new friends colony. Metro station is only a km away. This makes at a good place to stay and commute. Food was not that good. breakfast as Ala carte and not buffet

We loved this place. The hotel is modern and clean. They have a nice breakfast every morning and good wifi. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The front desk is 24 hours and also very helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Great stopover in Delhi
Perfect stopover in Delhi. I had to leave the other day from Nizamuddin Railway station which is pretty close to the hotel. However, taxi driver had difficulties to find the hotel which is close to a roundabout of the ringroads. Location is not so convenient if you want to visit the centre. Friendly and helpful staff. Hot water and internet worked fine. Quiet room, especially for such a noisy road.

Bra hotell men väldigt lyhört. Ligger i ett bra område med bra restauranger på gångavstånd. Vårt rum städades inte men jag vet inte om man måste hänga ut en skylt för att de ska göra det eller om DND-knappen som satt vid ljusreglagen var intryckt.

Our stay at Basil The Residency was good. The staff were extremely helpful and arranged drivers for us (we went to the Indian Grand Prix) and they were able to supply us with an extension lead for English plugs that fitted the Indian fittings, which was helpful. Unfortunately, it is quite a way out of Delhi centre but the tuk-tuks are cheap enough to get around, if you negotiate! The room was of a reasonable size but the floors did not appear to have been cleaned properly and the towels always looked dirty. The sink in the bathroom leaked underneath, although the shower was a very good size. There was only one mirror in the room and that was in the bathroom, it would have been useful to have a full length mirror.

Great staff at this hotel
The Basil was close to everything I wanted to visit. The staff here were very polite, friendly and helpful. The first night here was in a room that was terribly noisy and I asked the front desk for a change. That was done immediately and with a profuse apology from one of the managers. The breakfast was good and the staff always made sure the buffet was replenished in a timely manner. What was so nice was the helpfulness & professionalism of the front desk staff, particularly Amit (one of their senior managers). India was a great place to visit and made even nicer by this hotel with its friendly staff.

Great Choice, Reasonably Priced
A very comfortable and clean hotel, with an accommodating and helpful staff. I could not have asked for a better welcome to Delhi! And after several weeks in India, the heat and crush and excitement, this was a fine way feel rested and, on this type of budget, pampered.

Excellent Service & Great Value for Money!!!
Great Hotel and a very good value for the money... Already recommended a colleague to stay there next time when he visits Delhi. When I arrived they did not have deluxe room with Double Bed Available but they went out of the way and upgraded the room to Executive level without any cost. Also provided me a complimentary breakfast for one day. Excellent Service!!!
