「This property was smaller than expected on the website. The bathroom was disgusting, the bathroom door only locked from the outside, the mirror was on the outside, it smelled like urine and the shower was small. The beds were uncomfortable. There were huge roaches in the living room. They only provided one fan and it was a sauna in there. We open the windows to let for the breeze but couldn’t sleep because it’s so loud outside. Cats and dogs fighting all through the night. Terrible experience....

「The location is different from the address on Google map, making it difficult to find the place. It's actually in a quite residential area, about 20 min walk to the medina. The room is spacious which can fit 5 people, but the bathroom has a strong cleaning liquid smell. The staffs are boys from the restaurants next door. They're sweet! If you need towel or anything, just go find them next door.」

When we finally did locate the owner, after a couple hours of asking around, he was gracious and provided us with similar housing through a friend, free of charge for us. 「Beautiful quiet property, good service and the pool area is amazing. What would take Dar Ba Sidi to the next level would be better upkeep of the grounds (mowing/weeding), and touch ups on some of the typical expectations of excellent accommodations such as working internal telephones (so you dont need to go to reception when you need anything), water bottles every day of your stay (not just on the first day), etc. We did enjoy our stay though :)」
