Great getaway!

Silver dunes escape from Milton

Thrilled to have found a place to escape to and save a vacation after evacuation orders in Daytona. The listing sounded wonderful but upon arrival the unit is dated, stained furniture and stained carpet. The kitchen drawers fall out when opened and the dated interior and bathrooms were disappointing. The beds were good and the property itself is very nice. Spending $1800 for 4 nights seemed steep for a dated dirty condo.

Silver Dunes vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was ok, I believe they were in the process of painting, it was pretty dated, the walls were white and bare. Carpets definitely needed replacing, they were a little stained in the master. The sliding glass door in the master had a good inch to 2 inch gap in it, during the storms it was very loud, difficult to sleep. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean. We have Always loved Silver Dunes, my children have grown up going here!

Great for families

Old, Nasty and Very Misrepresented Unit #36

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival to Unit 36, we opened the door to a bad odor. We looked around as the unit description stated newly remodeled. They just didn’t state what year it was newly remodeled. There was rot on the woodwork and trim. The sliding glass door tracks were bent all to ****, making it nearly impossible to open the sliding door. There were rotten dried up flowers on the dining room table. Trash was left in the garbage cans. The tub/shower was nasty. The area rug in the living area looked like it was 30 years old and dirty. Just too many issues to go on with. I would not recommend to anyone to stay here. I will be posting photos and video of the unit (#36) on the web. We will not stay here ever again in the future.

Just Ok

The area was perfect. The property manager was not very responsive to questions. The family room was good. The kitchen stove one burner did not work and the toaster didn’t work. The patio door is in need of replacing. Many times you couldn’t open it and it took one of the men to get it open. The mattresses need replaced very uncomfortable. The key code for the entrance was changed mid-way through the week and we were not told and there was a line of traffic waiting to get In and no one knew. I would not rent this unit again but would rent in the general area as it was a great beach! We were stuck inside bc of Hurricane Ida so we needed to figure out how to use the TV for streaming — instructions would have been nice.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was just fine. Wasn’t as good as we expected or hoped but didn’t have any real problems. We found a couple appliances didn’t work, beach was farther from condo than we thought it would be and there were dead bugs in a couple corners. It was however fairly clean otherwise, cozy and comfortable. I don’t believe it was worth the price charged but hoping the pandemic played a part in that and perhaps it’s not always that much. It was overall probably a 7 out of 10 for the trip and stay.

Not your average vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was okay.The condo came with essentials like pots etc.the view was just like the pictures. Only problem we had was when we went down to the private beach we were embarrassed because a guy ran up yo us telling us it was a private beach has if we were trust passing. Once I explained we were staying in unit 36 he backed off. I watched to see of he approached anyone else and he didn't. I hate to think he approached us because we are african American but a few causian saw what happen and approached me later apologizing and were really nice.next beach trip i don't think ill be visiting Destin at all. Almost forgot the check-in process was horrible we didn't get an email code our name was at the gate which helped because security was able to let us in. Then the code was on the package inside the condo but the gate code was wrong
