Southern comfort

We have stayed here twice. Home is always clean. Easy access to beach and surrounding activities. Quiet neighborhood and can get away from everything too. Pool is big enough for everyone to enjoy. Fenced yard for privacy. We had a great time and would highly recommend.

The house was beautiful and well kept. The pool and private yard was so nice we swam every day. The maintenance people for the pool were quick and efficient. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. I would stay there again.

Perfect Beach Getaway

This was the perfect home for a girls trip, public beach access easily walkable and loved the wagon provided by property! Loved that there were restaurants walkable, pool was fantastic to cool off and very quiet nice family area! Fridge worked nicely (I find many rentals dont cool very quickly) and AC worked wonderfully! Would highly recommend property especially for the price point for the area, it is truly a gem!

House was nice. Appreciate fences backyard especially with our dogs Pool was nice . This hiuse is managed by another company nit a owner Therefore we had to pay a listing fee to vrbo of 332 dollars in addition to ither fees and taxes that added up.

Great Location

The location of the house was perfect. Plenty of sleeping room. Was not as clean as it should could have been. The floor was sticky when we arrived, should have been mopped. The back covered porch had horrible furniture. The pool layout chairs were in good condition. Over all had a great time though!

Negative- Black Mold, Dirty pool on arrival Pool & back porch lights out. Zero stocked kitchen tools. Property Mangement did contact but never updating us on their attempt to fixing light during our stay. Positive- Esssy access to both beach and shopping centering and nice cold A/C

Great home, in a great location

The house is perfectly located, just a few minute walk to the beach. The house was clean and has a great set up. The yard was perfect for our dogs and the pool was great for the kids. The house did have a musty odor upon initial entrance. The house was missing a few small touches that would have made it perfect, things such as towels to use for the pool/beach. There is 1 towel per guest if you are sleeping the max of 10, which means you will have to wash towels between shower and pool/beach time. We ended up buying towels our 2nd day. There was no hand soap at the bathroom sinks, and no coffee filters, which was disappointing. None of this is a huge deal or a deal breaker, but it did mean we had to run to the store a few times before getting settled. The pool heater broke our 2nd day. We were told by Vacasa that somebody would be calling us to come have a look at it. We never received a call, but it did work for a few hours the next day before shutting down again for the remainder of our trip. We did receive a partial refund (less than half of the total paid to heat the pool). We would definitely stay again. While things were not perfect, the house was still great and we had a wonderful 4 days in Destin.

Very old house, dirty bathroom and floors

Pros to this house: the location is great, pool was nice and beds were comfortable (except for the queen bunk bed) Cons: this house is very old, especially the bathrooms. Upon arrival the living room and dining area are nice. The kitchen needs updated and the pots and pans need replaced because they are extremely old. The pantry needs deep cleaned because when you open the door it has that old house smell. During our stay, minutes after giving our 3 month old baby a bath in the kitchen sink, the sink literally fell through the cabinets. Apparently after speaking with customer service the sink was repaired 2 months ago for the same reason. Thank goodness our baby wasn’t in there when that happened. The glue on the sink literally came undone and the sink fell through and water got everywhere in the kitchen. Under the sink It was completely dirty. If this post would let me post pics I would. Thankfully someone was able to come the next day and clamp the sink so we could use it. There’s a reason they don’t post pictures of the bathrooms because they are very old and disgusting. The shower knob had mold in it and there was also gunk on the floor that the cleaners had apparently missed so I had get on my knees to scrub it off the floor. There was lint/dust on the doors and towel racks. Both bathrooms just need to be renovated very badly. There is carpet in all of the bedrooms and in the second bathroom where both sinks are. The carpet is old and needs replaced. Throughout the rest of the house is tile floors which weren’t bad but they need to be deep cleaned because the bottom of our feet were black after walking on them for a few minutes. The walls need to be cleaned and repainted. There are marks and stains located all along the walls and baseboards which I don’t think had ever been cleaned. The grill was left I cleaned and had onions left all over it. Thankfully the lady who was taking care of the trash had offered to clean it which was very nice of her. This could be such a nice house if it could be renovated and DEEP CLEANED. It was just an uncomfortable stay because it felt dirty staying there. But The outside of the house looks great, very nice landscaping and a great pool. I will say customer service was good, they answered right away. It’s in a good location and theres playground right across the street which was nice. The outside shower was a plus. So the place has its pros but the cons definitely outweigh the pros in my opinion. We would not recommend staying here

Great house

The house was perfect for our family of 4 and our dog. Could easily have fit another family. The backyard is entirely fenced in and the pool was a nice bonus. We did have an issue with the pool not heating our first few days but it was remediated by Vacasa and they were super friendly. Great customer service from our perspective. The beach is very close (easy walk) but the public access space is extremely small, only about 30 feet wide. Since we were there in off season, it wasn’t an issue, but I can’t imagine it in summer. However, we found lots of other access points that you could drive to.

Bachelorette Trip!

Home was beautiful, clean, and very spacious. About a 5 minute walk from the beach. There is only a 10-15 minute drive to all the fun places/night life at the harbor walk. Only downside of the beach is that the whole neighborhood is forced to stay in a super small area and not allowed place their things anywhere else. Other than that, this place is perfect!

Perfect for pups!

I was worried the fence wouldn't go to the ground all the way and my Littles could escape but it did!! I did bring an extra dog gate to block off the side gate. House was clean, pool was clean, and neighborhood was well taken care of. The price was awesome too!! The beach is literally across the street. Close to shopping. My dogs and I enjoyed it. We will for sure be booking this house again!!
