Cheer Competition

We stayed with some friends for a local cheer competition our girls were competing it and it was perfect for our group. The host was great with communication, the property was very clean and well-taken care of, and it is in a really convenient location. Would definitely recommend!

Great Location

Great Location to Beach and nearby restaurants (walking distance). Great supply of household items which is not the norm. (very impressive) Communications with host was wonderful and very responsive. Outdoor pool was not heated which was the biggest disappointment. Security of the gated area was good. Overall we would stay again!

Family of 13 wonderful stay!

Great great location. Door faces pool. It’s directly across the street. Beautiful pool . Awesome Hot tub. Cleaned everyday. There is a few rows of houses and this is the front row so definitely make sure you pick a house in the front row so it’s easy accessible for kids to get to the pool. Beach was A five block walk it was great. And to walk a little bit farther, make sure you hit the crab trap that is where lifeguards are and drinks on the beach! 3 level house. Lots of room! Wonderful stay for a large family!

This is the perfect place to stay for summer vacation. The house is very nice with everything you need for your stay. The kids lived that the pool was right there. The beach, shopping and a variety of restaurants to choose from. I def would recommend this place!!! Thanks

Family Vacay

We enjoyed the location and cleanliness of this rental, especially with the pool being located just a few steps away (made things easy with small kids and hauling things). The only thing that we had an issue with was the parking. Being only allowed 3 vehicles at unit and very few overflow parking spots was an inconvenience which leaves you parking offsite out of the gated community. An investment in new pillows would be a great upgrade as the ones there are a bit flat. Overall perfect for a family vacation.

Family Time

This was our first full vacation with our adult children, teenagers, and grandkids. Poolside Haven was perfect for our large and varied needs family. Having the pool with walk-in entry was perfect for our 2 year old granddaughter to splash and play while still letting the adults enjoy the water as well. Getting to the beach was a short walk and everything we needed for supplies was very quick to get to. The owner was quick to answer any questions we had and very helpful! We would love to stay at Poolside Haven again.

Poolside Haven

This place was very convenient in the location but the inside was not what I had hoped for. There was sand in the bed and on the sheets before we even stayed in them. The couches are so dirty you hardly wanted to sit on them. Every place we have stayed had detergent for the washing machine and this place had none. They didn't have enough toilet paper for even two days. I understand that we may need to purchase more but at least have more than two rolls. I was very disappointed in the Poolside Haven and will not stay there again.

Satisfied customers!

The property is great. Great location! Our group of 8 adults and we had a lot of room inside to maneuver around and not feel crowded. The property decent and clean, located within walking distance (and we did), close proximity to tons of shopping. The host Becky was very pleasant and accommodating throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this property to others and l would also re-book this property on future trips to Destin.

Disappointing

The house and location were okay, short distance to restaurants, shopping. Short walk to the beach, pool was nice. Max of 3 cars in driveway, "overflow lot" holds about 8 cars. At times difficult to find parking for additional cars. Received a text about 2 hours before we checked in that the A/C unit on the first floor was out and that the manager would call first thing Monday morning. Received word Monday part was ordered and would be fixed ASAP. I texted Tuesday, was told not sure when this would be fixed. I texted Wednesday and never heard back from the property manager. Checked out on Friday. Unfortunately, this was a big problem considering the kitchens on the first floor, very difficult to cook in the July heat. No offer for financial compensation or portable A/C unit was given. Overall, disappointed is the best review I can give..

Now that we’re older - Second Generation

Made some special memories. Pool across street was very convenient. We ended in pool more than ocean. Could have used more storage on main floor. It was nice having plenty of kitchenware. Coaches could be upgraded.

Great vacation

The place was great room for everyone. We had eight adults and eight children. Pool was across the street and very nice. The walk to the beach was longer than expected. About five or six blocks.

Quick list of Pros and Cons

We felt that the property was adequate. Pluses included: 1) eight to ten-minute to the beach 2) proximity of restaurants 3) three separate living levels allows some separation by age or family group; 4) the pool is very nice and literary feet away 5) there's great water pressure in the house. 6) laundry room with washer and dryer. Some cons include: 1) There is little to no sound-proofing between the floors so plan to hear whomever is above you; 2) The furnishings are plebian; 3) The kitchen is tiny! Doesn't work well when preparing meals for a group; 4) The sitting area on the first floor is quite small. This is a very "vertical" house. 5) The house could use some sprucing up to make it appear more fresh/clean. Also be prepared for absurdly long waits at area restaurants, which, of course, has nothing to do with the house other than to create more pressure to cook "at home." Though it is unlikely we would stay here again, I think it represents a good choice for younger families.
