「Our family had the best time in Alexandria and DC proper with The George as our homebase. Beds were very comfortable, living space and linens were all fresh and clean. The property is very close to a Safeway grocery store and with all the amenities The George offered we could easily prepare meals. The creative decor in shades of blue and coral, and special attention to detail all around the home, namely the hand painted mural in the living room, treated us all to an exceptional patriotic, DC...

「The house worked well for our family of 7. It was clean and communication was excellent, although it would have helped older renters to have information about operating tv and more directions about trash disposal etc. It was a short walk to the Metro, although we found it less expensive to drive into DC. Supermarket (Trader Joe’s) and restaurants were nearby. It was as described and we would stay here again. 」

「Pros: Excellent communication with the owner, great location, lots of space, comfortable beds. In the basement area, there is a huge TV, a comfortable sofa, and chairs that easily seat 7 people, a game table, and a bar with a refrigerator. The main bedroom suite has a bathroom with a heated floor, a fireplace, and a jacuzzi. The kitchen has 2 ovens and a microwave, and a washer and dryer. There are 2 driveways and a garage, so there is plenty of room to park off the street.Cons: The kitchen is...

「The place was great. 10 minute walk to Metro, Chewish deli next door is a great, easy breakfast. Parking wasn't difficult (if you can parallel park), even with 5-6 spaces closed due to construction. I would bring a sleep mask if you want to sleep in. A lot of windows high up that don't have blinds/curtains, and it can get bright in the morning. 」

「The house was clean and so cute! The beds were clean. Everything you need was provided even shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The best part was the shower. The pressure of the water was like a massage!!」

「The property is nice and updated, looks just like the pictures. The backyard is a great retreat! The 2 private parking spaces made it comfortable to come and go. The beds are comfortable and plenty of towels and convenience items (shampoo, trash bags, etc). The hosts were accessible during the stay, but we didn’t need them. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay near DC, this place in a nice quiet neighborhood is a perfect choice.」

「Just off of King Street and near all the best of Old Town. This house has plenty of space in a premier location. It was clean and well stocked and we had a great time using this as our base for touring around. Plus the back yard was so relaxing for coffee in the morning and drinks at night. We would definitely come back. 」
