Oldest functioning house in Old Town dating back to 1750. Original owner was Lawrence Washington, George Washington’s half-brother. Walk in the footsteps of authentic American history.

This property has 3 three separate rentable spaces situated as the first home from the intersection of South Lee Street and King Street, which is the true heart of Old Town. A lovely two-and-a-half-story home with a wonderful outdoor courtyard, perfect for gathering guests around two fire pits.

Booking includes recently renovated Old Town Alexandria historical carriage house upper apartment.

Perfectly placed amid the restaurants and shops of Old Town Alexandria, within walking distance to water activities, trails, and parks along the river. Updated TV and appliances along with a small electric fireplace for ambiance (not wood due to guest safety) provide for a wonderful stay in Old Town on the oldest functioning property in Old Town, Alexandria.

Superb location to Old Town Alexandria
As locals, we used this as extra accommodations over the Christmas holidays. The location is excellent to the wonderful feel of historic Alexandria charm and history. The room was wonderful and parking options given by the owner were brilliant. Worked perfectly for our needs!

Wonderful place to stay in Old Town
My husband and I stayed at this property while I was attending a conference in DC. Old Town is so unique and wonderful and this quaint little carriage House is located at the perfect spot. The courtyard is very nice to enjoy and you can walk to hundreds of restaurants and bars. Thomas was very accommodating and responsive with anything that we needed. I would recommend this place for anyone to stay! We hope to visit Old Town again. I’ve never seen any other city like it. Thank you, Thomas, for a wonderful experience.

Best location in Oldtown Alexandria
Perfect pied-a-terre. All restaurants and activities within a couple of blocks in each direction. Brand new fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and bedding, large multi-channeled TV above electric glowing fireplace. Idyllic outdoor courtyard entry. We had a wonderful experience in the area and this little jem was a perfect respite for our full days and nights of exploring the delights of the origins of our nation.
