“The cookware mentioned in the description consisted of one tiny pot with no lid and one frying pan. The "stovetop" was a Coleman gas stove. The refrigerator drained the battery for the generator, so we couldn't use it reliably. We are experienced backwoods campers, so if we had known all of this, we would have brought our own cookset, and food that did not require refrigeration. Otherwise, it was fun for us to experience "glamping." Aaron was very responsive to messages and eager to help with……

“Great place to stay”

“This host has thought of EVERYTHING! Tons of extra little amenities make for a comfortable stay. The apartment is in a wonderful location with an easy walk to all of Hallowell's shops and restaurants. Bonus: comfortable beds!”

“This cabin was the perfect getaway each day after a 3day work shop I attended. Each day I would look forward to getting back to the cozy cabin to rest up. Very peaceful tucked away in the woods. I am a little sad to be leaving!”

“I absolutely loved my stay on the island. I stayed in the little floating house, which was magical. I loved feeling the water underneath the bed as I napped and drifted to sleep. The sunset from the little porch, overlooking the water, was exquisite. The hammock game was strong! There were two at my site alone! Everything was clean and easy. Kent was a wonderful host, and I really enjoyed talking to him and learning more about the sustainability project itself! The team was responsive and so……

“Honestly, this property and the whole experience exceeded all my expectations (which were already pretty high). Kent and the team were so accommodating, making sure that we had everything that we needed and were available at any time. They made special plans to accommodate some friends for a day visit and were so kind and helpful. The property itself was so perfect for what we wanted and the dog so enjoyed the freedom that only a private island can bring! Thanks, Kent, for a very memorable stay.……

“What a beautiful place to stay. Jeff and Susan made your stay a very special experience.”

“This place is amazing! Quintessential Maine home experience!”

“Lovely house, exceptionally clean, beautiful art, a wonderful sunroom, great kitchen! One of the best we’ve ever stayed in. Also, a good location. The host was so kind and responsive.”

“The place was very clean, very quiet area, and pet friendly which was great. Nice places to walk the dog, take evening walks etc. Excellent restaurants nearby, we had a lovely time. Maybe a bit pricey (it is July at a tourist destination).”

“Cute but aging small space, Near attractions”
