「Great stay. Very clean and spacious. It's about a 17 minute walk from the beach but on a hot day it's a pretty exhausting walk and the buses weren't very consistent but the taxis were cheap enough.」

「Had a really good time there with my family. I actually booked another hotel in Sagres, but with much smaller space and poorer infrastructure. So I cancelled that one, and drove back again to Balaia hotel. Again the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was also an indoor swimming pool nearby. Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Not to mention that the price is so attractive. Definitely worth it.」

「The location was great for a visit to Zoo marine. Parking was a bit of a challenge but the host helped us sort it out. The pool was great and the apartment was very nice. My only complaint is the sofa bed was not that comfortable, but we made it work.」

「After an issue checking in where our booking was lost Jose placed us in a fab Junior Suite with kitchenette, sofa and bed. All hyper clean with great view of the beach and harbour entrance. Breakfast was the best with great choice from cooked to fruit & yoghurt to pastries. Always love coming to stay and never let's us down. Always recommend Vilamoura and especially the Ampalius.」

「The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean although there were some ants inside, and i think they need some mosquito plugs to try and reduce the number that get in the property, kitchen had everything we needed, and overall was a nice place to stay.」

「Pretty awful. The place is falling apart. Id say this ‘hotel’ is a 2 star property at best. Incredibly tired. Poor house keeping. Everything extra including towels. 7.50 for a can of kopperberg. No pool bar, no option for breakfast, room falling apart. In room safe was an extra charge. Dangerous electrical cables in the room. Refused late check out claiming hotel was full, it was nowhere near full. Dirty pool. Sun loungers looked like they come from a warzone. Would not suggest this place to my...

「We really liked this hotel. Me and my 3 friends stayed here and really enjoyed our stay. If we ever come back to Lagoa we would all come back to this hotel! Staff was pretty nice.」
