“I read the reviews of others and here's my experience. I did not have any bad smells and my son (who is allergic to cats) did not have any allergy issues. It is obviously an older property, so it's not a modern, freshly painted environment. Things are obviously used, but the renters have done a good job making the space usable and feel "homey". I am pretty easy to please, not a diva so the little grandma type accents I looked at as sweet and quaint. We loved that the dollar general was……

“This was a perfect home for our family weekend getaway! The home has plenty of space for kids to find spots to play and hangout, we even had a spot in the loft to have an ongoing game of HeroQuest setup. The kitchen was fully equipped and we cooked all weekend with plenty of dining space for all of us. There was even a small table in the kitchen perfect for our Lego builders. And the night sky was incredible for our telescope fans!! We spent a lot of time in the screened in porch eating and……

“This is a beautiful little cabin, right on the river with a nice little beach. The views were wonderful. Don't let the two bad reviews scare you off, I found it to be very clean inside and the deck was nice. Would be great for a family to stay for a few days. I enjoyed having a bonfire by the river and looking at the stars. The host's communication was kind and quick.Coffee was provided and the pots, pans and dishes were nice.I do want to mention one thing you might want to know. I had to sleep……

“It is an older home as indicated in the listing, but it was very clean and well maintained. The host did great communicating and helped with our unique accommodations. The home is within walking distance to the temple, downtown, and the few restaurants that are in Nauvoo. The home also had a great history and story that was hanging on the wall which really made the stay extra special knowing what role it played in the history of Nauvoo.”

“WE loved the old Victorian style home. Spaces to gather in, a large, furnished kitchen with all the comforts of home. Bathrooms were big, clean & furnished with the essentials. Decor was wonderful with the woodwork & stain glass & color scheme. Wi-Fi was available with a large TV. easy locking system. Suggestion: could use a screen back door to keep the flies out when coming in & out. I know it's still being renovated, so next time I'll be excited to see the changes. I didn't need earplugs……
