「The cottage was clean, the discription was acurate,the attension to detail was outstanding.The rooms look like they were just renovated.The view from the deck was fantastic.The glasses, flatware and cookware looked new.Well worth the cost. There even was a binder with the history of the area and activity suggestions,We hated to leave.」

「Love the new couches! It made the home way more comfortable. Had a problem with Roku but Glenda worked with my daughter to get it fixed. Can't beat the view!!!」

「Your own private beach with beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay. Kids played in the sand even in the cooler weather. Got to see dolphins playing while taking morning and evening walks. It was a perfect size house for our family. 」

「This was probably the best property that I've stayed at, maybe ever. I had a family of 8 and the two apartments that we shared were perfect. I will be staying here again」

「It was a nice get away for our wedding anniversary. We were able to bring our dogs and use the private strip of beach a couple of cottages away. This was a great quiet trip. The only thing that could have been better is the AC in the cottage. A window unit is provided but with 90 temps it couldn’t keep up.」

「Unique house with a ton of charm. Very clean and had everything we needed. A quick walk to the riverfront and historical sites nearby. 」

「Property manager canceled my stay with no notice. I had already driven a great distance to be there. Took several days for them to issue the refund despite the fact that they canceled the reservation same day. Actually they told me I had to cancel the reservation on my end. I assume this was so they would still get the money from the reservation, but I called to cancel it and explain the situation. Long story short don’t book here.」

「Nice stay with my family. My husky loves walking the grounds.」

「We were attending a family reunion. Great to wake up and look out to see the water. So relaxing and serene. Just enough space to relax and unwind. I would however suggest to the owner to put some railings on the patio. We had a few seniors who need that extra support when stepping up. The grands loved fishing from the pier.」

「The home is very nice and in a great location. Beautiful views and easy access to the beach. As a previous guest stated, a new house is within 100 feet of the driveway (not shown in photos). Not a problem for us, but sharing for awareness. Be aware the beach is not private. 3-4 vehicles parked each day near the driveway for families to access the beach. Close to 20 vehicles on the 4th of July. 」

"The property itself is quite good—newly renovated facilities, a convenient location, and a nice free breakfast. It’s easy to see why it has a 9.0 rating and overall, it’s worth it. However, I was assigned a room right next to the ice machine and emergency exit. I checked in late at night and didn’t realize the potential for noise. Unfortunately, the receptionist didn’t mention anything about it, even though I was traveling with kids. Starting as early as 6 a.m., guests began walking around for breakfast, some trying to open the emergency exit—which triggered a loud alarm. The real issue started after 7 a.m, when the emergency exit began functioning as a regular door. Guests continuously came in and out, causing the door to slam shut every 2–3 minutes. The loud banging made it impossible to rest. It was truly exhausting and disrupted our rest completely. Getting a good night’s sleep is one of the main reasons to stay at a nice hotel, and sadly, that didn’t happen here. All in all, this property is ok—but if you're assigned room 126, 128, or any room near the emergency exit, request a room change to avoid a similar experience. "
