“Great hosts and very helpfull. Unfortunately for us, the majority of our time was spent on Gwynns Island while there. Very easy access to all Matthews county has to offer from this location. Highly recommend this property for longer stays.”

“Wonderful rental property. Gorgeous views of the bay! Kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need. Area is peaceful and quiet. We loved the private beach area and the mornings were shady. Would stay here again!”

“Beautiful home! Clean and comfortable! Chip was amazing…responded quickly to all of my inquiries. My children and I had an amazing time. I hope to rent from him again in the future”

“We had a great experience staying here while working in the area. After spending long days on the job, it was nice to have a quiet, comfortable place to unwind and get some rest. The home worked perfectly for our crew and had everything we needed during our stay. We really enjoyed the property and would gladly book again when we’re back in the area.”

“I have to say that I was disappointed with the lack of cleanliness of the house. I realize that it is a very large house, but all the same, it should have been cleaned and maintained better for a short-term rental. The owner only supplied one old bath towel and one cheap new wash clothe per guest. No hand towels were initially provided. I contacted the owner and she had towel sent very quickly. The rugs did not look vacuumed, the bathroom rugs were dirty, the shower curtains were mildewed, and……

“We absolutely loved this place!! Perfect getaway for families and our dog. We didn’t want to leave! Very private…which is a plus! The amenities and amazing plus all of the goodies that the owner graciously lets us use like the floats. Our kids had a ball with those!! We are definitely booking this slice of heaven again!”

“This is a great place to stay for families. Lots of room in the house and plenty of yard space. We loved the old timey feel to the house. Reminded me of growing up at my great grandfathers. Kitchen was very roomy and easy to cook in. Very clean. Most important thing about this place is they allowed us to bring our fur baby. We have a hard time finding places that lets us bring her, so this was definitely a plus. Would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again.”

“Incredible weekend at a perfect house. This is one of the best homes we have ever stayed in: clean, perfectly laid out, well stocked kitchen and all the yard games and puzzles you could ever need. We all slept in as the beds were so comfortable with soft sheets. And the library has a great wide variety of books to dive into. We had the best weekend and wish he had been able to stay longer. ”

“This space is beautiful!! Great front porch and big rooms with on suite bathrooms!! The only issues we had were the outlets not working in the main master bedroom upstairs and the WiFi was very spotty. Overall I would highly recommend.”

“A very peaceful restful place to go and simply relax and enjoy nature. Lots of memories to be made there!!!”

“Great beachfront property with clean rooms, easy access to the beach, and close proximity to the New Point Comfort light house. I would highly recommend this property for future renters looking for a private beach getaway. I will rent again.”

“This was an amazing rental! So cute and comfortably fits so many. Amazing beach and dock as well. They are fully stocked with any games or equipment you need. Very clean and the host responds very quick. We loved it!”

“Excellent location with sandy private beach on West side of Chesapeake Bay. Shallow water and no undertow made for safe and fun time for children in group. Loved the daily appearance of Bald Eagles in the nearby pines. Definitely hope to return. ”
