“Great place and staff”

“The hotel was okay. However, the property is a little dated. Also, I didn’t have a sitting chair in the room. Finally, and I have never experienced this before; but there were no cups in the room!”

“Room was clean and in a convenient Location. Didn’t like not having a working TV the first night.”

“Very nice staff. Hotel was very convenient to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. There is a public bus stop right outside the hotel that will take you to the Busch Gardens parking lot for $1.50 which runs every 1/2 hr or so. Room was spacious. Bed covers had pizza sauce type stain and grease stain but everything else seemed clean. Nice place to stay for a good price.”

“This was our first time at the resort and it was amazing!! Great staff, clean rooms with all of the activities, food and amenities you will need for a relaxing fun stay!! It was our 25th anniversary and we will be back!!”

“The room was beautiful, the setting in the winery next to woods was gorgeous, and the breakfast was delicious. Exceeded expectations for a mom traveling with two kids!”

“Overall my stay was OK. Upon arrival I was not able to check in on time because my room was not available due to hotel being reserved to capacity, which caused me to have a 1 hr delay in check in. The hotel receptionist (Urania)was somewhat pleasant however, made some remarks that my particular room wasn’t ready because I had to wait for a handicap room, I stated I did not book a handicap room. Then, she stated that since I booked via Expedia that, I have the cheapest room, so I had to wait for……

“Everything was amazing the food was great but the cost for the meal plans is just to high next time instead of eating there we are just going to go to one of the many restaurants down the street and go to the I hop down the street for breakfast it is cheaper my family paid a total of almost 160 dollars for breakfast alone just for two days . Not doing that again but we had an amazing time”

“We stayed in Room 3, if the other rooms were as great as ours then it would be hard to beat this location. The view of the river and sunset were awesome. The restaurant service would be hard to beat anywhere and the food was excellent. All in all we loved our stay at Surry Seafood Inn.”

“The property itself is quite good—newly renovated facilities, a convenient location, and a nice free breakfast. It’s easy to see why it has a 9.0 rating and overall, it’s worth it. However, I was assigned a room right next to the ice machine and emergency exit. I checked in late at night and didn’t realize the potential for noise. Unfortunately, the receptionist didn’t mention anything about it, even though I was traveling with kids. Starting as early as 6 a.m., guests began walking around for……

“Staff was very nice and attentive. Clean towels were provided, room was clean. There are some renovations going on so that has the outside kind of sketchy looking but it was an overall great stay.”

“Excellent stay at Wingate by Wyndham Williamsburg — clean, easy, and comfortable. Great stop for visiting Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown with plenty of history nearby. Highly recommend for a simple, convenient Virginia trip. James R. Hart”
