“Excellent place to stay in Hokitika! The entire place was spotless and tastefully decorated. We would have loved to stay for more than a night but unfortunately were on a tight schedule. Communication with the host was easy and response to questions were quick. Location is central and close to some really good restaurants. We have never stayed at such a spotlessly clean place ever before and we have stayed at quite a few luxury properties. Would highly recommend this place. ”

“As my wife injured her knee two days before arriving the Punga Grove, I asked the receptionist whether it was possible to re-assign a ground floor room for us. it was a negative reply at first. However, I believed the manager intervened and arranged a ground floor room for our two nights stay. ”

“Nice clean property with decent view of ocean. Has amazing sunsets. Recommend owner add scrubber sponge for dish washing, more hand towels, and dish towels. Also recommend better labels on rubbish, recycle and compost bins because it was a total guess on how to distribute waste. Very good remote property, some highway noise but limited to occasional vehicles. Would definitely stay there again. ”

“This was a cute compact place in a beautiful setting! The bed seemed more compact than a queen, but it worked for our last stay in New Zealand. We seemed to be away from it all yet close by food, gas and the highway. ”
