"The location is perfect for being able to walk to many of Barcelona's attractions including the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful."

"Check-in was smooth, and we appreciated being allowed into our room an hour early. Unfortunately, the stay quickly deteriorated due to inconsistent and unsafe guidance from staff. One attendant showed us how to use the thermostat and safe, but instructions were unclear, requiring three calls for help. While common areas were cool, our room was extremely hot. Another staff member said rooms only had heat, not A/C, and advised us to sleep with the windows open. The windows had no screens or security, which felt unsafe. A serious issue arose when a leak developed in the bathroom ceiling, with water coming through the light fixture. This caused repeated power outages. When we called, a staff member told us to reset the circuit breaker ourselves each time power failed—an unsafe and inappropriate instruction. The electricity went out every 5–10 minutes as the leak worsened. A night manager later confirmed the fire risk and moved us. By then, we were exhausted and shaken after following unsafe directions. We had to pack and move multiple times, ending up in a smaller room with no compensation. This all occurred within 12 hours. "Excellent breakfast. Close to shops restaurants and the hop on hop off bus. There is a renovation project on the promenade outside the hotel on Ramblas but it’s still easy to get around "

"The hotel room access and lift cards don’t work, so you have to keep going down. Air conditioning stops or slows down in the middle of the night. If you are expecting an elite hotel experience, you will be disappointed. "

"Great range at breakfast, from Spanish cold meats and cheeses to eggs, bacon, mushrooms, etc. All delicious and constantly being refreshed - a great choice. Rooftop area was lovely, but tables do get reserved in the early evening, so either book one or expect to be moved on (in a friendly way!). Room was lovely and spacious (2 adults + teenager in one room), clean and comfortable, although the pillows could be firmer for my taste. The communal lobby/bar/restaurant has a great feel to it, very cool, with helpful staff. Overall, couldn’t have hoped for anything more, I’d happily return. "

"This hotel is perfect for a city break. There is a good choice of breakfast buffet, where you can fill up for the day. The metro is a three minute walk away straight into the city centre, so it is ideally located. It’s also only about a fifteen minute walk to the beach. The hotel advertises a spa, this is average and does not have a jacuzzi or any warm water facilities. The pool was cold, despite the temperature gauge saying 30 degrees. It has a sauna and a jacuzzi and some experience showers, but you are only allowed to use this for an hour a day and there is no where to sit and relax in the spa. We were quite disappointed by this. The menu is okay. Averagely priced, but fairly similar throughout the hotel. Be aware if you book through Expedia that the quoted city tax has gone up Since April 1st and was nearly a third more than expected! The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. "

"Breakfast is sufficient and variety to eat to choose from. They do not provide bottled water in the room as they said, the faucet water is potable. No Air conditioning unit is working. So they provide a fan to provide breeze in the room."
