"Super quiet location, rooms were beautifully done and recently refurbished. Very much liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom and super comfy bed.
The communal area and restaurant were closed when we visited but there is a fab deli, 2 mins up road and linked to wider Castle Ashby estate. Overall a gem of a hotel and ideal for quiet break to relax and refresh. "

"Room was very spacious for a single with an ensuite, plus bed was ultra comfy. Lovely little hidden gem and also the breakfast was a good body warmer and hearty stomach filler for a cold Friday morning in December. Will be back to stay here if I’m in the locality "

"Friendly staff, been a few times here now and the friendly, helpful chef now knows us so that’s nice. Had a room upgrade which was really lovely so room bigger, bed bigger and really comfy, shower big enough to get at least 6 people in, will consider an up grade in future. "

"Everything you need plus a reasonable breakfast included for fab value! Also had air con which was a blessing for me and the only negative is the lighting was a bit dark and relied on lamps rather than a bright main light. Great place especially for over nighters "
"The hotel is well placed in the town centre with a car park right next door, priced at £8 for 24 hours, very reasonable. Park on the lower floor for direct access to the hotel.
We were extremely pleased with the spaciousness of the room. The bed was comfortable and the TV huge for a hotel room. The bathroom too was large. There was plentiful tea, coffee and milk.
The breakfast was well varied, well-maintained and all was clean.
Improvements that I would suggest. Please provide a hand towel as well as bath towels. Please provide two spare pillows, not just one.
Lighting in the room is not really sufficient for things like styling hair. A light above the mirror would really help.
Things out of the hotel's control, the person in the neighbouring room trying the connecting door- a bit disconcerting. People returning at 4am speaking at the top of their voices, very inconsiderate."
"First hotel I’ve ever been to with a choice of smoked and unsmoked bacon for breakfast, great spread and the family room had 2 large beds rather than a sofa bed. "
