Lovely traditional style hotel in great location
We stayed at another hotel nearby in this collection earlier in the year, so we knew the location was good. The Al Jomrok hotel is a little different as it has rooms that are all internal with corridors running around the building with great views of the souk, the corniche and a small square. They had lots of seating in the corridors which extended the room and gave you extra space to sit.
As it is right in the souk it is not possible to drive right up to it, but if you go to the Arumaila they take all your luggage to the other hotels - we did not find this a problem. They don't serve breakfast at the hotel but send you to the Al Bidda which is just behind. Another beautiful hotel, the restaurant used for breakfast is a really lovely room and the breakfast was divine. They catered for all sorts of cuisines to a high quality. They had lovely displays of small jars with fruits, yoghurts, porridges and all sorts of other things. We absolutely loved trying out all the different offerings.
I liked the room which were very clean and had lots of wood detailing with good facilities e.g. nice bathroom, coffee making facilities, fridge etc.
I can recommend the kebab café just at the back - cheap and tasty. There are lots of cafes, ice cream and proper restaurants all over the souk.
