"We booked a short stay for our wedding anniversary. When riverside cottage came up as an option we snapped it up. The location is stunning from every angle. The cottage is both traditional with exposed beams and the thick stone walls you would expect but with modern touches for comfort. The babbling river outside and the welcome party of birds each morning added to the relaxing vibe. The horses in the field opposite were the icing on the cake. "Basic property, no tv, wi fi etc but perfect for a place to switch off,peaceful and full of bird song. The track up is tricky but not at all terrible and steep steps down to the cottage but totally secluded and private. We had perfect weather and swam in the swimming lake every day. Harlech beach is stunning and only a short drive away. My dog picked up lots of sheep ticks from the garden so if youre taking your best buddy make sure they are treated first. Overall, we loved our stay....
