Dongdaemun-gu Holidays

Stayed here for 3 nights. I got the VIP room with the massage chair. It was heaven after a long day of exploring Seoul! I didn't have the breakfast at the hotel so I can't comment on that. The location was okay, it had a very local vibe but the station was not good for big luggage due to the stairs in the station. I couldn't find the station elevator when I arrived. Some reviews said Exit 5 but actually the elevator is between Exit 5 and 4 so you might miss it like I did. Also it's on Line 1 so it can get very busy. The staff were really nice and welcoming. Overall I recommend the place, especially for solo travellers. I felt safe in the hotel and in the area. Also very good for the price I paid. I will consider it again in the future.

Centrally located within Seoul in Myeongdong, but just outside (essentially one block removed) of all the action so it is much more quieter and a significant positive for me. Staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. Highly recommend having the buffet at least once on your visit. Hotel is conveniently located next to the subway so it is extremely easy and accessible to get around every major neighborhood. It is also walking distance to Seoul Station, but I would recommend taking a cab/taxi/Uber for convenience as the area is generally within a major node for traffic.

super nice staff, nice area and convenient

The hotel is a bit worn and lacking amenities other than a smallish fitness centre. But is reasonably priced so if you really just want a decent bedroom, it’s fine. It is 26 floors high with just three elevators so waiting time can be quite long. Staff are really nice and helpful

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing and stressful. Several of our jackets, along with my wife's bag and coat, went missing during our stay. We had to report the incident to the police, which took valuable time away from our vacation and left us feeling anxious and upset for several days. What made the situation even worse was the way the hotel staff handled our concerns. Despite explaining that we had seen the missing items the night before, we were asked whether we had brought them with us from the United States. We felt that our concerns were not taken seriously and that there was a lack of empathy and hospitality throughout the process. We received no meaningful follow-up from the hotel. The staff did not offer or suggest any other steps to help us feel more comfortable and reassured. We understand that the hotel may not have been able to recover our belongings, but we expected better communication, compassion, and customer service during such an upsetting experience. Instead of enjoying our vacation, we spent several days feeling worried and unsettled. This experience significantly affected our overall impression of the hotel. Based on our experience, we would not stay at this hotel again or recommend it to others. There are plenty of other hotels that offer better hospitality and a more comfortable experience, often at a lower cost. Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet our expectations, especially when it mattered most.
