“A really lovely place to stay - in the shadow of the castle itself which was a 10 minute walk away.
It was more an apartment than a hotel room, with fridge/freezer, sink, living area and two separate bedrooms.
Be aware that it was initially difficult to find because the rooms are within a retirement home and the facilities within our room clearly supported assisted living.
Staff very friendly!”

“Basically a glorified bnb but with zero communication. I didn’t know until after I booked that it was going to be a no contact check-in. Even though they say you will be contacted with check-in info 24 hours before, we were not notified until 5 minutes before check-in. Bathroom smells of sewage, bed is thin and hard, pillows are both too big and very uncomfortable to sleep, you hear everything from your neighbors, hot because you are under the roof.”

“Our family group of 15 from Ireland spent 5 days at this beautiful bastide in July 2025. The facilities are excellent for a large group, with three fridges and two dishwashers and bbq. The accomodation was spotlessly clean and plenty of hot water in each bathroom. The pool was perfect, and again very clean and not over chlorinated. Parking space in the outer building was very good in the hot weather. The location is lovely and peaceful and very private. We would highly recommended this property……

“Perfectly positioned,lovely property, easy walking to both the old city and the modern one. Access to supermarkets(by car) and small shops by foot. Martine obviously lives her home, as a host she was perfect, available if needed but not intrusive. The pool is a big plus if you have teenagers. ”

“We stayed for couple of nights and would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to visit Carcassonne. Great location, close to shops, restaurants and train station. The castle is about 15-20 minutes walk through charming streets and the old bridge which is a pedestrian bridge. This bridge is also possibly the best viewing point and photo opportunity. Richard and Helen were very kind, on our arrival a bottle of red wine greeted us at the apartment. Very thoughtful. Thank you!”

"Very good location, all staff are helpful and friendly. Room is clean and nice . I left a handbag on the chair in the bar, they help me to keep the bag and try to return to me. Th e car park is not in the hotel , you have to park the car in their parking lot, and call them come to take yr luggage and you walk 2 mins to the hotel."
