"We arrived about 7pm to be told we had no room even though I had a confirmation of the booking. Was repeatedly hung up on and my calls also ignored. They also ignored hotels.com when they called to also help. Veliko was very busy and we would've been without a room for the night had a local old lady not overheard our problems and offered to help us find a bed for the night - thankfully she spoke English! Do not recommend as this is totally unacceptable service and very worrying for people...

"The house is an old part of the city, down narrow winding streets that barely have room for one car. It makes getting in and out by car exciting, but once you are in a lot of places are just a short, and beautiful, walk away. We stayed four nights as part of a larger exploration of Bulgaria, and that’s not nearly enough just for the places you can walk to from this house. You could easily spend two weeks here just exploring this corner of what is definitely one of the more beautiful cities in...
