"Great location for us, our first trip to Oregon. Accommodations were perfect for us, away from the busy of Eugene but yet tucked only a short distance from Eugene when we so chose to travel there for activities. Enjoyed visiting/experiencing smaller local communities between Eugene and Cottage Grove. Certainly would stay again!"

"Burke's River View is every bit as good as the description promises. It is furnished tastefully with high quality furniture and beds. The kitchen is fully and excellently equipped for a serious cook. The room arrangement is very workable with master bed and bath on one side and separated second bedroom and bath on the other; large open communal space between. Location is great - at night with screened doors and windows let in the sound of the river rushing across a small rapids. Security is suitably protective.Host is proactive, also easy to reach if necessary and quick to explain and/or solve any problem. Truly excellent host.."

"I've stayed in about 20 vacation rental homes. None are as well-appointed as this one which is now my gold standard to which all others will be compared. The home is delightfully decorated with useable and comfortable antique furniture. The exposed glassware over a hutch was so clean it sparkled. Great beds/bedding fans & TVs in both bedrooms. Supply cabinets are clearly labeled with contents showing how important details are to the host. There's a coffee pot/Kuerig combo on the counter & French press in the cupboard. Coffee in the drawer next to it. There was tin foil, oil, spices, outdoor ware, lots of kitchen/bath accessories including ample TP and tissues (seems most places leave 2 TP rolls no matter how many people/days but not here). Incredible bathroom with a bidet, heated floor and toilet seat. The shower was so clean it looked new. There was actually a rubber mat to use for it (most places I've been don't include this anti-slip detail). We didn't use the washer/dryer located past a locked door in the car port as it was at the start of our trip. We also didn't use the hot tub (there are robes in the bedroom closets) or the private fenced yard which does have a patio table n chairs. Great location - around the corner from the Cottage Grove Museum, across the street from the river with a couple covered bridges, and close to downtown. The street out front generates some noise but it didn't bother us. I'd live here if I could and would rent again in a heartbeat."
