"Imposing Manor House set within extensive open parkland at the edge of the village. Large bedroom with modern en-suite and smart new linen. Graceful sun-terrace and well stocked library. Lovely Swimming Pool exclusive to residents.
Chateau de Villars is nonetheless an upmarket Bed&Breakfast (Chambre d'Hotes); no catering apart from continental style breakfast and should not be marketed on a par with a similarly priced Hotel which would normally come with some level of all day service.

"13 of us hired the both the chateau and the guest house for a week. All the rooms in both buildings were fabulous, and beautifully decorated. Long tables for outdoor and indoor eating areas for the whole group and 2 swimming pools - perfect for a large group of friends."

"Very exciting staying in a real old chateau, but with the facilities of a very thoughtful full restoration with modern comforts such as a/c, floor heating and huge and beautiful private bathrooms. The site is also very pretty, a large estate well landscaped. Last but not least, Jennifer was a great hostess."

"A wonderful grand period house with all mod cons, stunning surroundings, a lovely big pool and charming hosts. We had a brilliant week here as three generations of a family of 18. Plenty of space to spread out. Highly recommended! "

"Great holiday at Laubertie with friends and family.
Location was very rural which was exactly what we wanted yet not too far to to the shops.
Jacques and Monique were charming and very helpful.
We could have done with fans in each room as the nights were very hot.
SUPERB meal at Logis Auberge de La truffe in Sorges .
Another great meal was in Thiviers at Lâescapade des Sens ."
