"Gorgeous lobby. Cool bar/restaurant on roof. Excellent breakfast. Mattress and pillows were GREAT but sitting on a low platform I constantly worried about tripping over and that made getting out of bed challenging. Bathroom decor was nice, but extremely low counter with very limited space for your items. I did not explicitly request maid service so got none "

"20% automatic service charge makes good service optional, and it shows not worthy of hotel of such grandeur. Steeped in film and shows of pictures but maybe add a Gloria Swanson to bitterly lament “it’s the service that got small”. The hotel itself oozes decor and charm. But the dimly lit bar and breakfast restaurant are almost Ozymandias like - suggestive of a glorious time but nothing more, Someone who loves hotel like this hotel loves movies could catapult this place to a really fine destination. Oh and a few bartenders know how to make a few drinks well. "

"Sink has a kinda weird design. Water would bounce out if hands were positioned at an angle. Nice place. Clean, nice staff. Wallet kinda pricey but good service. Close walk to convention center"

"Staff was kind & considerate, while the property was of impressive cleanliness. However, the reason why I am giving it a terrible rating is not because of the hotel, but with Expedia. This platform invalidated the reservation I made, yet had no issue charging my card upon booking the reservation. When I arrived to the hotel upon check in, the staff shared with me that the payment had failed, so Expedia had cancelled the reservation. I was frustrated because I have proof of receipt (my card being charged when I initially booked the reservation), yet they said they did not have it on file, so I had to book a new reservation for that day. Not only was it inconvenient because the cost of stay increased, but also as a frequent customer that enjoys Expedia & often refers the platform to my network, this was especially frustrating to experience. Additionally, I attempted to call customer service (multiple times), and not only was it extremely unhelpful, but the staff I had conversations with were unable to provide any quality assistance & simply gave baseline, generic responses. This has made me reconsider future bookings through a third party platform such as Expedia. While I came across the hotel through the platform, I will now reconsider booking through Expedia & simply book trips through the individual site. "

"Garage is skeezy, a bit creepy. Room ok, bed very low to the ground. No access to hotel thru garage-had to walk all the way around to check in. Hotel a bit long in the tooth. Staff friendly."
