We really enjoyed staying here. Not only was the house clean, tidy, big and well-furnished, but the owners were friendly and had gone to trouble to make sure we not only had what we needed, but were made to feel welcome. Both arrival and departure in particular were dealt with in a very straightforward fashion, and the owners were very friendly and helpful at explaining everything they could think of about the property.
The house is located close to Dugopolje, a medium-sized town in the hills above Split, easily accessible from the airport, with shops and restaurants in easy reach, and convenient for exploring Croatia by road. It has an outdoor pool, which was not warm, but pleasant in temperatures of around 30 degrees. The owners made available to us produce from their garden, and tomatoes featured heavily in our meals!! The outdoor barbeque was very well set up - forget gas grills, this was easy and effective!
It was a little tricky to find the first time, as the location overwhelmed satnav, and the house is up a track that was just good enough for the car - a regular problem when you get off the main roads in Croatia.
The house is on three floors, with shared space and bathrooms on all of them, so very suitable for more than one family.
We spent ten days here, and were conscious how much more time we would like to spend in Croatia. We would certainly consider staying here again if we get the chance to come back.
