Beautiful Cabin!!!
We went on an adults only ski trip with 6 adults. The two bedrooms and pull out couch were great! The hot tub was great after a day of skiing and surprisingly held the 104° temperature. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking supplies you could need and the gas grill works great! Highly recommend!!

Good location
This cabin suited us well for our stay. We were gone so much doing activities, which were all about 1 hour away we really only had time to sleep here. We had some trouble with the hot water heater, we didn't realize the pilot light needed to be lit for a couple of days. Other than that it was a good stay and the hot tub was wonderful

Great Property With Fabulous Amenities
Our family get-together was prompted by a grandchild's 17th birthday. I rented the cabin while living in Oregon so wasn't sure what I'd be getting. This place had a fabulous location with the creek in the back yard. Two fireplaces, two bathrooms, all decorated upscale. The jacuzzi was a favorite attractions. Everything you could think of was there - spices to cook with, plenty of towels, bird food to feed the birds and chipmunks. Pellet Stove, Gas grill, seating for all of us, plenty of board games, books, hair dryers, first aid kit, brochures on things to do, plenty of books, We had a blast!

Nice place and good location. Only a few issues.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The cabin had plenty of room and the location was perfect for access to ski rentals, skiing and Idaho Springs. The cabin had everything we needed and checking in and out was easy! We were able to park in the garage which was great. There were only a few things that could have been better. The most disappointing thing was the hot tub. The water level was low and the temperature only ever got up to 83 degrees. For us, the biggest factors when deciding where to stay were price, location, and a hot tub. Not being able to enjoy the hot tub after a day of skiing was a bummer. The other issues weren't near as big of a deal but we also had some trouble getting the TV to work and when we arrived we had to shovel the snow to enter the house and shovel the snow on the back deck to get to the hot tub and grill. If it wasn't for a few issues, our stay would have been perfect.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - Since snow is so common in the winter months, we have the driveway plowed when there are 6 inches or more of snow. For this reason, we advise our guests that a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is necessary for the winter. - We turn the water heater temp down when the cabin is vacant to conserve energy. We have instructions in our Welcome Book for increasing the temp and relighting the pilot light if necessary. - Unfortunately, our team did not receive any calls or messages from you. Otherwise, we would have responded immediately and provided assistance. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

The property was just amazing. We loved that it snowed it made the cabin so much more enjoyable. The creek in the back sounded and looked amazing with the snow and ice. We had a visit from a fox that came right to the back door. Would definitely recommend 4x4 vehicles to get to the property in winter. We want to come back for the summer.

Perfect retreat!
Our two couples enjoyed the clean cabin with a well-stocked and equipped kitchen. When we weren’t hanging out on the deck, listening to the nearby creek, we were inside playing cards and listening to music, a real life win-win!

This was an amazing house and location. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. The stream behind the house is breathtaking and it was so nice to get away from the Kansas heat. Mill Creek Cabin

Beautiful location
Very quiet and cozy. We loved opening the windows to listen to the stream that is right outside the back porch. I rent from VRBO quite a bit and the one thing that I was so grateful for at this house was the ziplock baggies for our daily outings. .It’s the little things!! This property was great and hopefully we can visit again one day.

Perfect mountain getaway
Perfect place for a relaxing getaway! The cabin is beautiful and equipped well. The fireplace is a stunning centerpiece to the heart of the home. Beautiful Mountain Home
The house was clean and spacious, located among huge pines with the creek running just behind. The deck and hot tub got plenty of use by our group. Don’t forget to look up at the stars at night, so beautiful! The kitchen had everything you needed, even spices, olive oil, coffee etc. The hike up the Mill Creek Trail was one of my favorites! Would definitely recommend this property!

House was exactly as described in the listing. It's tucked away into the mountains, but close enough to the cutest little town of Idaho Springs, and only 45min from downtown Denver. Communication with the owners was beyond excellent! We had a few issues of our own doing, but the owners stepped up and helped us through it all, no hesitation.

Peace and beauty abound here!
My husband and I just spent 4 great days here. The house is so well thought out and so comfortable! Anything you may possibly need is precisely where it should be. The creek is amazing as is the property itself. The elevation is high so plan to take it easy the first day here. Hot tub was great too! We loved the little animals that visited and all the Stellar Jays. We will most definitely keep this listing to return again one day.

Nice Cabin in the Mountains and Snow
Cabin was nice. Enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was full of supplies for cooking. Cooking utensils are worn and could use some new ones. One of the beds is really firm and one is a little softer. There is not good lighting in the bedrooms but with shades open during day made it better. Heated bathroom floors were nice. Wood burning fireplace was great. Had plenty of firewood. Takes some adjusting to the altitude at 8000 ft.

Cozy Winter Retreat
Convenient location, easy access and close to everything. You can sit back and relax at the cabin, generously equipped or venture out to visit the towns close by or head up to the mountains for a little day activities. Then back to the hot tub and a warm fireplace to cozy up to. Loved the cabin and all the little animals visiting during the day.

The cabin was beautiful and clean. The only downfall was that the hot tub was not working and we were not notified until the day before we arrived. Our stay was great, however the hot tub was a main factor in us selecting this property.

Fantastic Mountain Home
Our family escaped to the mountains for a get away from it all weekend! This mountain home was perfect and we wish we could have stayed longer! We found the home to be very private and never saw or heard any neighbors. We loved Todd (the fox) that visited us daily, the humming birds, Stellar Jay birds, chipmunks, and squirrels. The sound of the creek in the back was incredible! We hiked trails near by and Frisco area. Idaho Springs had fun shops and restaurants.

Heaven!
Wow, what an amazing place! It is beautiful and relaxing. This cabin is a jewel hidden in the forest! We loved listening to the stream, soaking in the hot tub, watching the squirrels and humming birds, and hanging out on the deck. You can see homes on both sides of you, but we never saw anyone who lived in them, nor did their dogs ever bother us. We never once felt uncomfortable, or like anyone was close enough to jump in on our conversation, as someone in a previous review stated. The bed was comfortable, and we were lulled to sleep each night listening to the flowing river. The bathrooms are updated and very nice. The entire home was clean and inviting (the pictures do not do this property justice!) The owner, Rebecca, was very nice and welcoming and bent over backwards to ensure we had a nice time. The cabin is close to Idaho Springs, where you can shop, eat, stroll the town, or book a river rafting trip. We were also close to the Black Hawk casinos. This was one of the best vacations my husband and I have taken; it is safe to say that we will return as often as we can! Thank you Harold and Rebecca for sharing this little piece of heaven with us!! ❤️

An Awesome few days in the shadow of mountains
We planned a family vacation to Denver. My in-laws were visiting and we met up with them for a quick planned getaway. This place fit our bills and we booked it. Becky was very responsive and answered all my questions. It was a perfect place, close to everything but just far away from civilization. All 4 of us and my daughter had a gala time. We had a slight difficulty in the figuring out the entry on the first day but except that the stay was great, all of us enjoyed the hot tub too. We will definitely return again if we ever come back.

Peaceful, fully stocked, beautiful!
We were a last minute stay with some late night confusion but owner was very patient and willing to work with us. We were more than pleasantly surprised how special the place is. Although there are houses through the pine trees, we did not feel that we did not have privacy. The patio jacuzzi with the creek below watching the hummingbirds was wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful last-minute get-away!

Beautiful home!
One HUGE issue, neighbors can see you 24-7 on the back patio, SO, if you choose to grill out, soak in the hot tub or sit on the porch to have dinner,YES, the neighbors will be watching. NO PRIVACY whatsoever. This worst part is, the owners never said that the neighbors are like within (10 yards one side, and about 40 on the other, AND the dogs. I love dogs, but not dogs that are NOT friendly and want food the entire weekend, that wait on the patio, and obviously the owners have known about this because these pups were not shy. IF you are looking to relax, and have a little privacy to escape from the city, DO NOT choose this place. It's beautiful, hot tub is great, but, no privacy! No curtains on any window within the common area s of the home. All in all, very disappointing stay. Not what the owner told us it was at all.. They should say, Oh, btw, our neighbiors could join in conversation they are so close...! But, didn't..

Shawn, Sorry you were disappointed in your stay. The deck of our uphill neighbor is in view and if she stood on the deck watching, yes she could see the happenings on our deck. She is a very private person and does NOT watch what is going on. Her dogs are fenced in and do bark when outside with activity they're not used to on a daily basis. The garage side of her home and deck are the only areas that have view of our deck and the distance is so that conversation is NOT able to be heard unless you are shouting. Our downhill neighbor has a very friendly dog who loves to come say "Hi" when we're there - she is well fed and taken care of. I have never found her to be unfriendly or begging. We will never have curtains on the dining or living room windows as we have an entire forest as a beautiful curtain and unless a trespasser is intentionally window peeking it is private. The only trespassers we've had were a bear, deer, and wild turkeys, and Oh, yes, Zena, our neighbors dog.

Hummingbird Retreat
We had a wonderful, relaxing time at this property. The home is lovely with comfortable furniture, updated bathrooms with heated floors, and a spacious kitchen with excellent appliances. We especially appreciated being able to leave the coffee grinder at home! The owner was very responsive and informative and she provided clear instructions. The hot tub was such a relief after a day of hiking, and the hummingbirds and sound of the creek were simply mesmerizing. We hope to come back again! Dana/Ryan.

Great place to decompress
Other than the hot tub not working which we knew ahead of time, it was a very relaxing three days for us. The creek was especially nice. The sound of the creek would lull you into a sweet nap. We found everything we needed. The hummingbirds were very entertaining! Eric & Karen

PERFECT location for a small town Colorado getaway...better than advertised!
Spent 4th of July week in this awesome cabin. Creek, hot tub, and deck are awesome. Great base for exploring Georgetown and Idaho Springs.

Nice, Cozy Cabin! Easily accessible!
We had a nice, relaxing weekend away at this cozy place! The hot tub was fantastic, and scenery wonderful! Becky was helpful and attentive, making my wife and I's stay hassle free. I'd recommend this place as a great home-base for a fun Colorado time!
