The instructions for access were very good; we might suggest a light or arrow or sign at the 'sharp left turn' along the entry drive to indicate the direction of the guest house.Guest binder explained everything very well. Everything was very clean. The location is wonderful; quiet and lovely views.

Lovely stay!

My family and I had a wonderful stay! The property is lovely and just as pictured! We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the patio in the mornings and evenings. The hosts were kind and helpful. Will definitely be back!

The Guesthouse

Perfect peaceful vineyard setting. Excellent wines. Great view. Beautifully furnished. Close to many local beaches, museums, and the excellent Mad Dog Crab Seafood Market and the amazing True Grain bakery in Cowichan Bay. Have some fun and explore!

Absolutely Stunning!

This VRBO exceeds the pictures. It is incredibly beautiful, charming and comfortable. It is in a great location, with it being a short trip to Duncan where all the amenities of a larger centre are located. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a tranquil and scenic stay, with an incredible view!

Great Stay

We always enjoy our stay at Emandare. The place is always clean, great view, great vibe. It's always nice to get a complimentary bottle of wine and to catch up with Mike in the tasting room. We're already looking forward to our next stay up there.

Home away from home

A wonderful place to stay. Very fresh and welcoming inside and out. The central location is a perfect starting point for daily adventures all around the Cowichan Valley. We can highly recommend the guest house as it's one of the very best VRBO's we've ever stayed at.

Perfect Getaway with friends!

This was the perfect getaway to celebrate my birthday with some friends! Three moms needing peace and quiet away from busy life! We found this spot absolutely lovely, tranquil and really appreciated the little touches. From local coffee and soaps, to lovely furnishings and wine! Just what we were looking for!

Excellent stay!

Fantastic place and better than expected. Peaceful and relaxing within just a few minutes of Duncan. Walking to the vineyard tasting room from our suite was a really nice experience. Would definitely stay again.

Cutest Getaway

This is the cutest little getaway, a short drive from Victoria or Nanaimo. It really feels like you're away from the city, the view from the hot tub is amazing. Great spot for couples or a getaway with friends. I would love to stay again one day!

Quick Biking weekend

We had a wonderful stay at the guest house. We spent most of our time biking and the location was perfect. less than 10 minute to the mountain. The guest house is very clean, beds are comfortable. We had everything we needed for our visit. Thank you!

Cowichan valley wine tour

The purpose of our stay was to visit wineries in the Cowichan valley. The guest house at Emandare winery was absolutely perfect in all aspect. It is so beautiful, comfortable and the perfect location to visit the area. We highly recommend the guest house.

Hidden gem in the vines

This property is fantastic. Clean, comfortable and nestled within a beautiful vineyard where you can sample the excellent wines made on site. We arrived to a lovely bottle of Rose that we enjoyed in the hot tub overlooking the lake. Idyllic!

Loved the hot tub and the wine

We spent a week here helping our daughter get settled after her move to the area. After a busy day it ws so nice to come home for a soak in the hot tub. So peaceful and private. We did miss having a full kitchen, and a normal sized TVbut didn't have much for either.

Amazing apot

This winery has everything for a super getaway. Beachy vibe with a hot tub and fireplace overlooking the vineyard and Somenos Lake - feels 100 miles away but only five minutes from Duncan. Mike and Robyn were super hosts and their wines are very high quality - will never think of Canadian Pinot the same again!

Enchanting stay in a vineyard!

Emandare really delivered. The house (called the Tractor Shed) is located away from the main farmhouse with views of the vineyard and Lake Somemos. Well appointed, immaculately clean, peaceful and quiet. We will be back!

It was a peaceful and restful stay at the beautiful Emandare vineyard. Lots of great local attractions, a perfect stop between Nanaimo and Victoria. Only downside was that there was no dishwasher so need to hand wash the dishes if you plan to cook there. Hosts were easy to communicate with and helpful. The wine shop is only open on Saturday but with advance planning you could reach out to the host regarding private tastings. Sad that we missed out on that. I’m sure we would have bought every bottle! The view is unmatched at this beautiful property.

All the comforts of home!

Everything was absolutely perfect. The home was very well stocked with every convenience you could want. From a machine that grinds and makes fresh coffee from beans, to luxurious Kleenex and bathroom tissue, to lots of place to hang towels and clothes and soaps to wash dishes and clothes. Exceptionally clean and quiet.
