“I loved everything about Rose Arden. I had a very comfortable overnight stay in a single room in a lovely home that was perfect for my visit with an old friend who lived nearby. It was great value and in a beautiful quiet location with an amazing view. The host couldn't have been more helpful. And the breakfast was wonderful. If I visit Hamilton again I’ll definitely want to stay at Rose Arden.”

“This was a (low-budget) option for 1 night. There were no room keys available, and the breakfast should (not) be called breakfast at all. (Breakfast) was the grab & go kind of breakfast with (mini muffins) & coffee, & not much else. We couldn't even get hot water, as the machine was not working. So this is not the place where you can sit and eat - so don't be fooled into paying the price thinking that you will get (breakfast). The place needs a face lift, and overall it was a basic stay.……

“everything is good ”

“The property was clean enough and you have assigned parking which is fine. The room had been redone but there were these dead bugs on the floor and the air conditioner was old and loud and didn't work the best. Second night I was there I had no hot water in the room and no water pressure to shower. I had been at an event all day and it was hot and late and I was too tired to complain. Next day on check out I mentioned it and was not offered any compensation. Won't stay there again!!”

“Room window blinds wouldn’t open and staff were rude to me on check in”

“Everything is fine except that the receptionist on ground floor was away for a long time. He left a contact number to call, but I thought he'd be back soon so decided to wait at the lobby for half an hour. Still no show.”

“Unfortunately, there was construction for a street renewal project going on at the time of our visit. There was noise from a construction generator running all night long. Ideally a hotel would let their guests now about possible inconveniences and noise like that ahead of time however we did not get any word of it.”

“Breakfast was the same menu everyday. Staff was okay, not very friendly but just fine specially the property manager guy who always seemed to be upset or micromanaging the staff. The cafe lady server was very kind.”

“Rooms are spacious and clean with full amenities and fixture. The balcony allows us to take in the views and fresh air. The staffs are responsive and helpful from booking to check in with our request and questions. We are very pleased with our stay.”

“Stayed here for one night with husband on route to a Provincial campground so we wouldn’t have to set up in the rain. Selected this hotel based on reviews, which we found were accurate. Very friendly, welcoming front desk. We rented a suite with small kitchenette, couch, fireplace, two person jacuzzi which was a pleasant surprise!! We felt like dining in room but there was no menu or signs saying room service was available. Phoned the resto and a friendly young lady rushed a menu to our room. We……

“No hot water for the shower”

“The price was the best of a bad lot. Even cheap hotels with no amenities feel free to gouge. They charge the maximum for a security deposit. The single employee at the desk was very accommodating, but for a poor business. Everything looked clean, we hope it really was. In a room with 2 queen beds, there was 1 skinny “towel” (rag, really) in the bath. No bath mat. No cups provided for teeth brushing or drinking. Telephone was a broken ancient model so we couldn’t call for our needs. No hangers……
