「The property was very comfortable and beautifully presented. The only thing to note is that if you had a large vehicle like a camper van or RV the parking would be a problem. There is a small local grocery store within walking distance (although the area is hilly) and it is an easy twenty minute drive into Dunedin. 」

「We really enjoyed our stay. The stairs are not difficult as someone else mentioned. The single room is through a curtain connected to the lounge. The location is central and it had everything we needed, though I won’t be taking the shower home with me. 」

「As advertised and Julie was very helpful. Central location and yet quiet, with good parking. Floor has a slight downward slope that felt a bit strange to start with but easily adapted to (not a problem, just felt weird to start with). Everything clear and tidy, and even milk in the fridge on arrival - thanks Julie」

「After staying in VRBOs around NZ, this was definitely our favorite for charm, view and character. However? We arrived cold and et and the heat was not on. It took a few hits to warm up the hallway. There were lots of blankets so we could sit on the couch and stay warm. My one suggestion would be to have the owner turn on the heat ahead of guests arrivals on cold days. 」

"I’m not sure if the beds in this motel had been changed before we arrived. When we unfolded the blankets around 9 PM to sleep, we found hair on the double bed, which was really off-putting. I then checked one of the single beds and, upon closer inspection, noticed hair there as well. Normally, sheets should be changed between guests, but since it was already late, we didn’t want to confront the owner about it. We stayed for two nights and had brought our own bedding, so we chose not to make a fuss to avoid ruining our mood. That said, I believe clean bedding is a basic requirement for any accommodation. As for other aspects of the motel—the kitchen was well-equipped with ample space and utensils, the bathroom, though a bit dated, was clean and functional, the stove was new, and the air conditioning worked well. With a child in tow, we found it quite convenient overall. The only downside was the lack of cleanliness in the bedding, which really affected our stay"
