"As a first time in Edinburgh at 28 years , I do recommend ! Very friendly guests , they do their best in making it as comfortable as possible . It’s best to leave a message on your arrival date. The location is adequate very close to the bus station and a 15-20 minute walk to the amazing Portobello beach that is filled with amazing coffee shops and restaurants. The stores are nearby and has access to an ATM . Coffee is free and amenities are given all you need to do is ask . I would surely stay here again ! Thanks for hosting me here ."

"Room was kept clean, as was the rest of the building. Access to the restaurant and bar was great. The hotel itself was also nearby lots of other places that was nice for our stay, such as other restaurants, the bus stop, grocery store and the beach. It was a nice place to stay away from the busyness of Edinburgh, but still access the city through a 20-30 minute but ride. Only negative was the mattress wasn't in amazing condition"

Melville Castle

"Driving down the long drive the castle comes into view and its breathtaking! Vinny on reception was incredibly welcoming. Our room was phenomenal. There was nothing we would change. We ate in the restaurant on site on the first night and the food was outstanding. Breakfast each day was wonderful! To get into Edinburgh we were going to use the Park and Ride but Vinny said we could park at the end of the castle driveway and get the number 3 bus from there (turn left and the stop is there on your side of the road). This was a gamechanger. The buses come regularly and take around 30 minutes to get into Edinburgh. Bus back stops just opposite Melville Castle driveway then its a quick hop in the car up the driveway to the castle itself! This was a wonderful and relaxing stay in a castle of all places! Highly recommend. We will definitely be back. Oh and literally everyone was so friendly, not just in Melville Castle, but Edinburgh itself :)"

Best Western Kings Manor Hotel

"Everything was clean. I loved my room. It’s not the most updated place in the world, but it had its own charm. It’s warm and inviting. The staff was great, and had good suggestions for tours. It’s kind of a pain not having anything nearby. No convenience stores or coffee shops. You have to take a train or Uber. I tried the connected restaurant twice and did not care for it. It’ll do though with nothing else around. Overall, it was a good value and I felt safe and comfortable"
