「The property is beautiful and they have great amenities but the staff at the Players Club and the restaurant were just plain rude. The grill staff hostess wouldn’t even come by to seat us. It was only 8 pm and they posted open until 10! They just would look then turn away. We left because no one would seat us. Then the girls at the cafe barely responded to questions. 「Our stay at The Durango Lodge was great. We were only there for one night so did not experience the pool or breakfast but they looked nice. My favorite thing about the Durango Lodge is the location, it is close to everything so we walked all over downtown and didn't need to drive anywhere. Also, the room we booked was so perfect! 「First and foremost, the hostess was great. Very helpful. We slept good and Comfortably. Secondly, we had a very very bad check in. We arrived late and the office was closed. There's an ON CALL # that was posted on the front door for LATE checkins. I repeatedly called the # and left voicemails. No answer. My son an I spent our first paid night in the truck. I wasn't able to be checked in until the next morning.」

IF I had little kids the indoor pool and onsite drinks would have been nice but I didn’t really like facing into the idle pool area. The set up is odd with some rooms inward pool courtyard facing with glass doors (with shades?) and some outside facing.
