Durango vacation

Fantastic stay!

What a beautiful home! Exactly as listed. Property is in a beautiful wooded area and only 10 minutes to Durango. House is fully equipped and very comfortable. The owner really takes pride in her home. We’ll be back for another stay!!

Had a wonderful time - great log cabin experience in a wonderful area. Close to Durango & a wonderful retreat to come back to after sightseeing. Lorie was very accommodating & helpful with quickly responding to inquiries.

Beautiful Cabin

Our stay was awesome, the cabin was beautiful and well equipped with all you need. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching all the wildlife. Deer, fox, turkeys.

One of the Best

This is one of the best vacation rentals we’ve had - lovely, quiet setting yet close enough to town, very clean and neat, very functional for our needs. Only one minor issue for us was dialing in the radiant heat system zones at night but we were ultimately able to get things comfortable. Even with this minor issue, it was a great stay.

Wonderful Cabin

Beautiful cabin that is updated with great features and plenty of space. It has everything you need inside from games and puzzles to kitchenware to plenty of towels and pillows. The hosts are very helpful and responsive. The location is perfect because you feel like you are out of the wilderness, but yet still so close to everything to do in Durango. Our group had adults and kids, and they place was great for all of us. Would love to stay here again!!

Surrounded by mountains and tree

Beautiful house, clean and well equipped with comfortable beds and good showers. Every window offered a great view. My Texan family learned that all weather tires are not as good in offering grip on snow as winter tires do… but the roads are very drivable.

Wonderful!

Everyone in our group (grandparents to teens) agree this was the ideal place for our trip. Handy enough to enjoy the activities in/around Durango while also getting to enjoy being on our own in the mountains. We enjoyed yoga/grilling/drinks on the deck with nothing but trees, mountain views and the occasional turkey/deer in view.

North Pole Adventure

Our family had a perfect long weekend at the “North Pole”! Toddler enjoyed the spacious cabin and making a snowman in the yard. Dog enjoyed space to roam and smell the fresh mountain air. Mom, Dad, and infant enjoyed the awesome couch. Kitchen was fully stocked and we had everything we needed. Beautiful cabin - in the mountains but a short drive from historic downtown and railroad. Door dash delivered food. Will visit again!

Cabin in Durango

Cabin was great. We arrived when it was still light outside, could see how it would be difficult when arriving in the dark. The area is a little remote. Cabin was clean and had plenty of space for our family of 6. Well appointed and well stocked. My young daughters loved the swing chair in the corner by the window. The view was amazing. The location proved to be perfect for visiting Mesa Verde National Park. And close enough to town for groceries, etc. I would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Beautiful Cabin

Cabin was in a beautiful, restful location and had all amenities of a high end, modern home with the charm of its history left unspoiled. Location is great - out of the city but close enough. Only very small complaint was the sulphur smell in the water. Drinking water is absolutely fine and lots of extra provided. This is just a natural part of well water but could be a problem for some with an aversion to it. The window views are gorgeous and the heated master bath floor is a surprise treat! The kitchen is outfitted with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be back - loved this place!

Rustic feel with modern comforts

The location was perfect for our family - far enough from town for a peaceful stay, yet close enough for an easy trip to the nightlife and shopping of Durango. With exposed beams and some unique log cabin touches, the cabin had a rustic feel but was thoroughly modern with updated appliances and features, like a heated floor in the master bath and multiple individual smart thermostats throughout the space. It was also immaculate. Hats off to the cleaning and maintenance crew. Everything was well cared for, with plenty of high-quality sheets and towels. There was more than enough room for our family of five, and the one-car garage came in handy when a snowstorm rolled through on the last night of our stay. Yes, the tap water had a sulfur smell, but we'd read the reviews and were prepared. There's a filter by the kitchen sink and plenty of bottled water, so no issues at all. We'd absolutely recommend this place to other families or groups.
