Stay was not the best.

Was clean, but the drain smell was revolting and it was from the showers in both rooms I booked. Great location only if you are going to club till 2 am otherwise you will not get any sleep.

Nice place in lively and vibey area

Hotel was clean, neat and best of all well located in the lively Florida Road area with many restaurants, take aways, coffee shops and bars. Really lovely property

Will never go back

We had to book out at 11:30 as we where unable to sleep because of the noise. It was unbearable even our bed headboard was rattling because of the music going on downstairs.

Location is bad (surrounded by night clubs )very noisy , smell Fried fish inside rooms . if you book online you will not get customer service.they will tell you they can’t do anything. Bed is clean. I will not recommend. . I will never stay again. Make sure you exchange the money they will give you 1us -12 R . Nice restaurants around it.

A recepção do hotel estava em reforma, mas nada que prejudicasse a estadia. O pessoal da recepção não é muito gentil mas as informações são repassadas com segurança. O café da manhã se resume a poucas opções e é servido no restaurante do outro lado da rua, um ponto fraco. Os quartos são simples sem ser desconfortáveis. O ponto forte é a localização, na Florida road há várias opções de restaurantes e bares. Vale pelo valor da diária.

A NIGHT WIHT COCKOACHES IN BED AND JACKETS

I was welcomed by a VERY unprofessional lady at reception. She was chewing chappies and watching video on her phone while "checking" me in. When I queried the details of my booking she showed me her computer screen and told me to read the mail that expedia sent to the lodge. In the room, it took more than fifteen minutes of wasting water before I got hot water. I phoned reception and they sent housekeeping to my room who simply said "wait, hot water is coming". It did come. The water pressure is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. It felt like niddle drops of water when you open the tap. The climax was sleeping with cockroaches and finding one in my jacket. When I showed the same lady at reception the video I had taken on my experience with cockroaches in the room, she grabbed the phone and started yelling for housekeeping. She could not offer a simple apology on the experience. She requested that I wait and speak to housekeeping. Very very distasteful and outrageous experience.

Florida Road, a step away from all the action..

If you know the Area and understand what you are getting then you won’t have too many expectations. The room has all the basics, beds and bedding very comfortable. Easy check in and parking in the back of hotel. Hotel entrance is on Florida road between Butcher boys and the Fish restaurant. Understand that if you are going be out on the town for the night this is the perfect spot. Nightlife is on your doorstep. Beware of anyone asking for a lighter for smoke or asking the time or anything like that.. I leave that up to your discretion as in any City You should be street smart. breakfast across the road paid for by hotel was great!

Get a taste of Durban's chilled vibes & night life

I enjoyed my 5-night stay at this hotel. The front desk staff were friendly enough, our room was cleaned everyday, and the service staff were very cheerful and respectful. I feared a lot of noise due to it's close proximity to bars and clubs, but that wasn't the case at all. Relatively peaceful nights and quiet mornings.

Family Affordable Hotel

The hotel is family friendly, room was big enough for two adults and 2 kids sharing a double sofa bed, the breakfsst though needs to cater for halaal, Muslim clients as well, but furthermore our stay was very pleasant

Great Location and Spacious!

The stay was wonderful with a spacious room that was neat and clean with all necessary amenities. The partnership with Europa for breakfast is really great as there is plenty of variety and good food and beverages. The location could not be beaten (if you're not after a sea view) as it was centrally located and in the hub of restaurants and nightlife.
