THE EXPERIENCE

Visit our picturesque cottage in the White Mountains off the Coronado Trail which is rated 4.5 stars on Trip Advisor. Not only will you enjoy a slice of heaven two steps removed from “The Devil’s Highway”, you will enjoy one of Arizona’s last true wilderness areas. Whether you’re looking to see a flying saucer, visit a new mountain town or you’re the outdoorsy type -you’re in great hands.

You will find ample space to sprawl and enjoy fresh mountain air and water. You can drink right from the tap - the water is pure and delicious! Be sure to bring your outdoor toys, hiking boots, and get ready for stargazing. According to the Bortle Scale, this area has the best stargazing and astrophotography potential in the state. Depending on the time of year, you are likely to see elk grazing right on the other side of your fence or hear them bugling!

AMENITIES

This private retreat is fully equipped to be your home away from home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the utensils you will need, including a Keurig. For the coffee connoisseur you will find a French press and pour-over. Enjoy your meals together around a large kitchen island (seats 4), a dining table (seats 8), and patio seating (seats 8).

After you enjoy a day of fishing, hiking, or skiing - decompress by the fireplace, tell spooky ghost stories, listen to an old record, or play board games. Upstairs in the loft area you will find a Wi-Fi enabled TV, 100+ DVDs, Nintendo Wii, and Xbox 360 (plenty of gaming choices). Both of the bedrooms downstairs have a TV. The room (office-ready) includes a VHS with old-school movie options like Terminator or Top Gun.

You'll have a reliable Wi-Fi connection, fast enough to stream on multiple devices. Depending on your carrier you may not have a great cell signal.

LOGISTICS

You will be staying at a secluded 2.5 acre canyon property in the pines with 1 acre fenced. The cabin is 1,895 square feet with 4 bedrooms / 4 beds (3 queens / 1 king) with 8 bunk beds in the upstairs entertainment room. We can accommodate 8-9
adults (assuming shared beds) and 8 smaller humans via twin-sized bunk beds. Keep in mind, there’s only two bathrooms.

While we cannot guarantee that every amenity we list will be in place when you arrive, we’ll do our best. Gremlins seem to occasionally infiltrate our cabin and hide things in the strangest of places. Please tell us during your stay and we’ll make it right.

Also, due to risk / insurance reasons fires are no longer allowed - either inside our fireplace or outside. Propane is totally fine.

Beautiful property. If you’re looking to unplug this is the place to do it. We brought our two dogs and I think they had a better vacay than we did. The kitchen was well stocked though there were a few appliances that didn’t work so we had to make do. The owners were very attentive and accommodating.

Secluded paradise in the mountains
This property is BETTER than expected. The entire house is very nicely but simply decorated. The kitchen is the best stocked one I have ever stayed at. Small appliance, dishes, pantry staples and more..it was amazing!! The feel of the cabin was warm and homey. We loved the record player and records, of all genres, we played "vinyl roulette" for days and had a blast. The front room to take off mucky boots, coats, and gloves was filled with helpful lockers to keep it all hidden away. The upstairs TV/video game/board game options were pretty awesome too. The property manager and owner both communicated with us promptly well before and during the stay and they were so accommodating to a special request when the didn't have to be.They offer the option to access some onsite firewood, do that!! It was so easy! Even though the cabin is wonderful, and you can easily hunker down for a long weekend, be sure to take a drive around the area for some beautiful sightseeing.

Spent a few days after New Year with my family and friends at the cabin. Hoping we will get a bit of snow but we got way more . This place checked all the boxes for our family. We needed to get away and just spend some quality time together. The property was beautiful, secluded, and quiet. Very thoughtful home with many amenities surrounded by woods. Some items missing from description and owner assured quick resolution. Wonderful stay for a family. Narrow stairs are dangerous for elderly and infants. We had both and made it work with a child gate provided. Dogs LOVED this location and nice big fenced property. Don’t expect hiking trails from the property. Surrounded by private lands however beautiful location with many options 20-60 minutes away with enjoyable scenic drives. Overall very happy with the owner’s thoughtfulness and our family of 8 all had a fantastic stay. We all agreed we’d happily repeat the stay.

Pet friendly secluded getaway
We have dogs that we love to take with us on vacation and this cabin was completely pet friendly. The fenced yard made it very easy to let the dogs play and do their business. The lighting in the yard was amazing. No carpet which was fantastic. We made great use of the gas grill and pellet grill to cook up some awesome meals. The proximity of the cabin to all the lakes and forest service trails was perfect! We also came to the cabin with no groceries and just shopped at Safeway in Springerville the day we arrived. The high capacity washer and dryer was also great. It allowed us to pack light and just wash our clothes midway through the trip. While it was just my husband and I and the dogs, this cabin would be amazing for families. There are so many bunk beds upstairs and games galore. We will most definitely be back next year. Thank you to the property owners/manager for a great stay and allowing us to stay at their beautiful property.

Girl Scout Troop Cabin Adventure
I stayed in this cabin last Easter with my family and immediately thought how perfect it would be for my Girl Scout troop. We had a blast, made amazing memories and we got snow!!! It was so much fun, this cabin is a true hidden gem! We’ll be back again for sure. It’s clean, spacious and secluded. Great weekend getaway,
The property is as described. If I could rate this greater than 5 I would. The interior is a farmhouse look. Came with holiday decor that put a smile on everyone. The host is easily accessible, provides everything you need to enjoy the cottage. There’s an outdoor fire pit to enjoy. Beds were very comfortable. Great hikes right by the property and around the area. Elk, foxes, squirrels all cool to see. Fresh clean mountain air and quiet. Great overall experience.
