"My room was clean and spacious. The air conditioner kept the room warm and comfortable. The views and privacy were great and the receptionist was helpful and polite. I would recommend the Emerald Hotel as a great place to stay while visiting the Gisborne area."

"The furnishings are a little dated and the Shower over the Bath was tricky, however the rooms were spacious and with Heat Pumps in the Lounge & Bedroom we were very warm. Plus having a Washing Machine & Dryer was great."

"The partial view from unit 1 could only be seen if you stood in the right position outside on the balcony and then you could just see some ocean. The apartment had all the facilities, however it is getting a little dated and in need of maintenance. The fans had dust on top and the bedroom fan control ..."
