“Our host was very responsive and helpful figuring out things to do etc. the house was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, there are very few people around, but never felt unsafe. ”

“This is a fantastic home with access to a beautiful beach. You can walk the beach for miles and only see a few people the whole day. The home has everything you need including two kayaks. The restaurant next door, Pelicans by the Sea, has wonderful fresh fish and casual fare. The food is great and the staff warm and welcoming. “The cottages are simple, clean and adequately equipped. The beach is terrific and one can walk miles and see no one. At low tide the sand was wonderful. It was a safe place for kids to swim, collect shells and have fun. There are no activities except sun , sand ,and surf. Do bring all your groceries as there are no facility in the tiny town The beach bar and restaurant has the best conch fritters and lobster tails and is a one minute walk. Everyone is friendly and helpful.”

“The stay at Mrs. Doris' Ocean Pearl was wonderful. The cable was out in the room and the water went out the first day, but those were both beyond the hotel's control. Mrs. Doris was absolutely wonderful and was extremely accommodating. This is the perfect destination for those looking to get away from the world and slow down. Go visit Bishop next door and be sure to order the Crack Conch Dinner in the Ocean Peal kitchen.”
